Alright, so my friends made this suggestion for us to go there last night. None of us have ever been there so we were going to try it. We got there and the staff was super friendly, they informed us that kitchen was a little backed up and it was going to be a wait. Effective communication from the start, Love that. I don't mind waiting for food, if I know I am waiting for food. We wanted to try a variety of things so we got: little mac burger - Burger was good, mac was excellent. My only thing and its a personal preference, is I like a toasted bun and it wasn't. But did not stop me from enjoying that sandwich. pulled pork grilled cheese - Super yummy, dunking bbq and just awesome sandwich beans - super flavorful, nice smoky taste to them. coleslaw - not your traditional coleslaw, I thought it was tasty, just added a little salt to it. fries - those black pepper fries with their swag sauce were the bomb banana pudding - me and the wife fought for the last bite tacos - We ordered these with the intent to eat them for lunch the next day. reheated today, they were awesome. Just got meat and cheese with them so the pico, lettuce, and tomato, wouldnt make the tacos soggy the next day.
The one thing that I respect and enjoyed was the owner, who happened to be there that night, came out and apologized to everyone for the delay in food and for being out of items. He would come back out once everyone had their food and asked people how the food was. That is something in these smaller places that adds a whole new dynamic to your experience. Giving them honest feedback. Now most of the time owners are busy helping getting things done, but once everyone got their food, his first thing was checking on everyone.
You can tell a place is good when they had to closed an hour early because of how many people were there and sold out of food. We will definitely return to try the actual barbeque portion, ribs,...
Read moreIT'S ALL ABOUT THE SEAR!!!! To get that perfect char on the edge of a PERFECTLY seasoned burger....and still leave it juicy juicy...run down your hand juicy, is NOT easy. Its an ART!!! And THIS PLACE KNOWS how to do it well. I'm a fantastic home cook with VERY HIGH expectations and this place delivers an excellent burger. Now...I gave them 5 stars because I REALLY wanna see them succeed AND because there's no way to give them a 4.9 star. The ONLY tweak this "home chef " would make is...their brioche bun. A+ for using a brioche bun. A+ for grilling it and getting that perfect buttery crispy grilled edge on it. But at the end of grilling , put a domed lid on it for one min, so that bun can steam slightly and soften up a tad. See...now I'm splitting hairs like Jeffrey Zakarian on Chopped 🤣 Who do I think I am lol Oh, i al.ost forgot....decent salt and peppered fries come with your burger and it'll cost you about $2 more than McDonald's...but be 100 X better and better for you. SO...
Read moreMy fiancé and I have been going to Big O’s for a while, and we’ve always left happy. We checked out the new location this weekend, and it’s looking great so far—they even mentioned plans for live entertainment and a full bar, which will be exciting to see. Some reviews say the meat is plain, but that’s missing the point: it’s cooked so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and the three barbecue sauces take it to the next level. The fries are incredible, and the pulled pork and burgers have been excellent every time we’ve ordered them.
If I had one critique, it’s that the menu doesn’t always list everything they offer. That’s actually how we discovered their warm, cakey cornbread—we overheard someone order it once, and now it’s a must-have for us every visit. It feels like a hidden gem, but it’s way too good to...
