Purchased an LG Steam Closet. Asked multiple times if everything worked correctly, was told it did, and that if there were any issues it would be covered under warranty. Everything was great until delivery. I signed off on delivery, and as he’s leaving he tells me that the door panel (which is the primary method of operating the machine), only operates with the door nearly all the way open, making it very frustrating to operate. It’s also likely indicative of a pinched or damaged wire, which can be dangerous. While I didn’t love that he dropped that after I signed the delivery form, I didn’t think it would be an issue because the 30 day store warranty is supposed to cover parts and labor (with a deductible, which is fine). They’re now refusing to repair it and saying that my only option is to bring it back up there myself (mind you, it’s large and I had paid a decent amount for delivery) and receiving store credit, which is useless. Also, be aware that the 30 day warranty they advertise is pretty much useless unless the appliance is dead on arrival. On the phone, James said almost verbatim “If we went out of our way to fix every minor issue on scratch and dent items, we wouldn’t make any money” — I’ve bought plenty of scratch and dent items. They all have functioned properly (or if they weren’t properly functioning, they disclosed it prior to purchase/delivery). This also isn’t minor — it’s literally significantly affecting the primary mode of operation of the device. Ultimately the worst scratch and dent experience I’ve had out of dozens and very frustrating. I don’t mind cosmetic damage, but failing to disclose that the primary touch panel on an appliance doesn’t work correctly and then not standing behind your own warranty is borderline fraudulent. EDIT: To respond to your response, you’re just being disingenuous. It absolutely was on the floor. It was also listed on marketplace, which is where I initially saw it. I have even included a picture below of it on the floor with the financing paper on it. It was right next to the air conditioning units. You didn’t mention the programming issue until literally as you were walking out of my house when you dropped the sentence “oh by the way, the panel doesn’t work when closed.” and I had no chance to respond. I was told about the hangars and the primary issue at hand AFTER delivery and signing. The hangars were an annoyance, but I didn’t ask about that and that was on me, so I dropped that issue as you’re correct that I didn’t do my due diligence on that. I did say as long as it works. It doesn’t work as intended, as I can’t use the panel when the device is in use, which is an issue. Regarding the price, these go on marketplace in full working condition (where you had it listed) for about what you were asking all the time (and most include the accesories for that price). You had it marked at 699. This model went for $1500 direct from LG and is an older model that is no longer offered as there are now newer models, and they include the accessories which are worth about $200. 50% is typical for scratch and dent. I did make an offer of 500 as it is an unusual item and you said it had been sitting for a while. I’ll probably end up going through the 1 year warranty provided, or paying LG to do it, which I shouldn’t have to do. The panel works as does the board clearly. This is a wire or sensor issue. It’s not as expensive of a fix as you’re making it out to be. I work around electronic hardware repair. If it was the entire panel, sure, that would be a much different conversation and I would just return it.

Hope and James are amazing! So genuine, helpful, and great customer service. We bought a very nice washer from them for a steal and our dryer went out the next day. đŸ˜© So we just picked up the matching dryer from them and we are all set. We love shopping small and supporting black owned businesses. If you need an affordable appliance with quality Locke is your place!!!!...

I walked in looking for just a cheap dryer today. After some questions and talking with the staff here I left purchasing a new matching washer and dryer set. The process was quick. The staff here were very friendly and didn’t mind my talkative curious 1 year o trying to mind their business. I also got a phenomenal deal. I will be shopping here again...
