If you want the greatest Chinese food in the world, go to China and invite yourself to some old lady's house for dinner.
If you want the best Americanised Chinese take-out in the OKC area, you can't get any better than this.
I have NO idea why people say there's a problem with a language barrier. The woman who normally answers the phone speaks English JUST FINE. The only problem you have is accents, which can be worked around with ease. As long as you ENUNCIATE and speak slowly, it can be a painless transaction. Once you have a copy of the menu, you don't even have to say the name of what you want, just the number.
I work from home and order from New China 2-3 times a week on average. The food is always good (although, like anything involving food, some days it's GREAT and some days it's only good). They are typically extremely fast in their delivery times (about 20 minutes, on average), although they're also human and have -- maybe twice in the past three years -- taken an hour or more to get to me.
They also forget to put forks or chopsticks in my bag sometimes. That's annoying. It's human, and understandable, but still annoying b/c I'll sit down to eat, lay out my spread on the coffee table, then have to get up to go wash a spoon (I don't currently own any forks, but that's not relevant to this review -- although it's a nonetheless interesting story.)
Overall though, the good FAR outweighs the bad. I have never felt the need to get takeout OR delivery Chinese from anywhere since I discovered this place when I first moved to Midwest City over 3 years ago. The staff has always been courteous and never rude, not even once, not even in the middle of a blizzard when most people refused to even be on the roads and they were still for some reason delivering. Top notch staff, top notch food for their price range. A+++
Note: I have never actually physically set foot into this restaurant, so please disregard the decor score.. I just had to put something for it to...
Read moreI've been coming here off and on for 11 years. The quality of food has really gone downhill over the last year. A few weeks ago I ordered some lo mein and it was rotten. Not sure if it was the noodles or the sauce, but it tasted and smelt horrible. A week later I ordered the sesame tofu and the sauce that comes on it was not on it. It was just plain ol tofu. Ordered again tonight. Got the chicken rice soup which I absolutely loved until tonight. There was zero broth. They had put so much rice in it, I was eating chicken flavored rice. Took half of the rice out and gave it to my dogs and then had to make my own broth to turn it into the actual soup that I ordered. All of the chicken went to my dogs as well because it was just chicken fat. Gross. I'm going to find another place to spend my money with because this place...
Read moreThis place will not make good on their errors and take a horribly long time to get a online order. They are rude and do not respect the business of their customers. Sweet and Sour chicken comes with the sauce and what is the meal without the sauce? Greased fried chicken with no flavor and bland. I do a lot of business with them usually but disguted with how they could not make it right for their mistake. Don't order anything near closing time because if they make an error they will do nothing but give you the sauce next day and that's it. Ruined the meal and I offered to bring my receipt and the non eaten food for hopefully just that meal they made the error on, not asking to replace the $40 order I had. Time to look for a new Chinese food restaurant. I will not give my business to this place anymore. Horrible...
