I visited the fur salon for many years to store my Mom’s furs. My Mom died and I continued to pay the fees for four more years. One winter I decided I was able to wear the furs, paying homage to my Mom. Upon attempting to pick them up, I was promptly informed that I would need a will to pick up the furs despite the fact I brought a POA with me. The manager said she will speak with legal but she was almost sure they would only accept a will. That was really interesting to me because not everyone has a will and my Mom, a college professor, did not. Therefore if Macy’s has your family members merchandise and you do not have a will, Macy’s simply keeps your loved one’s stuff? Bananas. I am unaccustomed to losing, as such I called the news, channel 4, Better Get Bachero. An amazing producer heard my issue and listened for 90 minutes and said they were going to produce a segment on Macy’s refusal to return Mom’s furs. Unfortunately it was never aired. When NBC called Macy’s to fact check my story, they did not feel the press would be good for business and indicated they had changed their mind. When I arrived a week later the staff behaved nervously. They were jumpy and weirdly overly attentive. I love when people or organizations create a negative situation and are confused and odd acting when you fight for what is rightfully yours. O & then six months later, they went out of business. Read moreTried to call the store to see if they have a certain size in a coat that i ordered so that i can exchange. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I have called probably 12 times, different extensions. In between the many times that i called back, spoke with a few operators and every extension they transferred me to, there was no answer. Finally, i called the shoe department knowing that someone will answer. The woman that did answer wasn't pleasant at all. She put me on hold to transfer me to dresses because "that's the department closest to coats". Was on hold forever. I hung up and called dresses myself. The person that answered advised me that there were quite a few call outs. Which is understandable but ridiculous. She transferred me to another department...... no answer. Will probably try again later only because i really love this coat and would rather get a smaller size. Do not understand why there isn't a separate or additional line where customer's can be assisted. Hopefully I will not have to just return the coat...
Read moreExtremely poor customer service. Will never buy a mattress here again. Incredibly difficult to modify the smallest thing in an order ( changing a box spring from high to low); the staff is not very knowledgeable and always seems to have an attitude. Even calling the customer service line was terrible; the wait was outrageous and the personnel (3 different ppl within 10 min) were no help at all. Do not buy a mattress here.
Additionally, in the ladies department, there is a loud and abrasive woman who is always yelling at everyone shopping telling them to not mess up the racks she just organized. Like what kind of store would allow an associate to speak to customers in such a manner? I’ve seen this woman there multiple times. Just sad.
Oh yea, I also ordered online and received a tracking number but no carrier was identified... unbelievable!!
I will be shutting down my Macy’s card. This place is officially a joke... and...
