The Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University is truly a hidden gem in Milwaukee! I was amazed to learn that admission is completely free, making world-class art accessible to everyone. Walking through the gallery, I had the unforgettable experience of seeing my first Picasso in person — something I’ll never forget.
What made my visit even more meaningful was seeing a college friend’s artwork proudly displayed alongside such incredible pieces. It was surreal and inspiring to see both legendary and emerging artists represented in the same space.
The museum itself is beautifully curated, peaceful, and welcoming — a perfect spot to slow down, reflect, and appreciate creativity in all its forms. The staff were kind and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere had this quiet magic that makes you want to stay longer.

I've never even heard of the Haggarty Museum of Art and I've lived here 46 years. You really need to keep that as a permanent piece in your museum. It's so absolutely rare, and has such a distinct and alluring connection to Marquette and Milwaukee. It'd not so much just a work of art, but part of the...
