DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Milwaukee Downtown — Hotel in Milwaukee

I had my wedding in downtown Milwaukee and this location was so easy to work with from day 1 and became my hero a week prior to my wedding. Jacqueline Bridge and the team of this location deserve all the kudos possible! The other hotel I had blocks with for my wedding had a check-in time of 4:00 which is the start time of my wedding. Unfortunately the other location would NOT budge even though a month earlier they advised they would make notations for the early check-in. So one week prior to my wedding I was shocked to hear from my guests that they didn't make the notation and would not guarantee early check-in. I was in a complete panic!! I called Jacqueline almost in tears and she reassured me she and Doubletree would help me and my guests. She re-opened the block and even offered me a suite at a discounted price. This other hotel lost 11 very expensive room reservations who all move to this Doubletree (totaling 40+ rooms here). Not only is there check-in time 3:00 but they were more than willing to accommodate early check-in which helped a lot since all of my guests were coming in from out of state and needed to get ready.

While my now husband and I ended up staying at the other location due to the first look and wedding party photos planned at the hotel, I heard nothing but wonderful things from my guests and wedding party that stayed here. When those that cancelled with the other hotel called to book the room within a week of the event here, they all contacted me to tell me how wonderful and nice the gentleman and Angela were taking the reservation. This team was literally my hero and I cannot thank them enough. I would strongly recommend any wedding or event to utilize this location. They really will go above an beyond to make it the best they can for you and are extremely helpful...

Staying here end of March 2025 (if has been in the high 70s today). My room is 75 degrees and I am one of the people that likes it cold when I sleep. I find sleep at anything above 70 very difficult. After my first night I mentioned it to the front desk to check the AC in my room because it is not working, come back that night and the room is even warmer. Go down the ask why and am told because it's technically winter the AC is turned off and to open a window. Maintenance did open a window when I was not here that gets all the allergens on my clean clothes all day. As for that solution, well the window opens about 3 inches and has almost no air flow. At night its still 71 out so not actually changing the temp in my room, steady at 75. I have never stayed at a hotel like this before that did not give you the option of using the in room AC / actually using the thermostat in your room. I mean open your window that is not the "solution" from a hotel charging over $300 a night .... And opening the window makes it loud, not good for allergies, doesn't actually cool the room down, and it's been storming.

Unless its the dead of winter, middle of the summer, or you really have no preference for your room temperature don't stay here.

Edit - stayed at Hilton for years so never read the individual reviews, there was always a level you could expect but reading the reviews for this place now and looks like the there are reviews going back years about the AC issues ... So my opinion is just going lower...you would think from a basic customer service perspective if someone took the time to come to your front desk twice about an issue your response would be more than something that boils down to just deal with it. Cheap motels the air at...

MOST Accommodating front desk Staff EVER. Genuinely friendly,and happy to help with answering any of my questions. I had arrived earlier than expected, and ask if it was possible to check in early. And was immediately checked into my room. No run around, or rules are rules. Very happy to accommodate me in any way possible. Valet helped me unload my bags onto a trolley and parked my car.. I was in Milwaukee for a concert and I inquired about the venue, Front Desk manager was so happy to tell me about the New Fiserv Forum.The location was only a couple of blocks from the Hotel. Walking distance really if I wanted. I called an Uber. The following day I ask about the Harley Davidson Museum again This young Man was excited to give me directions 4 blocks down from the hotel. Perfect location for this Double Tree Hilton. Close to Every thing downtown! In every direction. My room was a dream, the Bed and pillows where the Most Amazing thing I have Ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. In room refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and different coffees to chose from, ice bucket.Big screen TV, alarm clock. Closet with hangers iron and ironing board, A Safe for my valuables .Bathroom was perfect for me with a Walk in shower and Great water pressure !! Hairdryer a fold out lighted mirror along with a full size regular mirror. Room was very quiet I didn't hear other guest at all or out side noises.Elevators where very quick.. Check out was a breeze.. I definitely recommend this Double Tree Hilton. So very CLEAN, FRIENDLY , AND OUTSTANDING STAFF. AND ABSOLUTE BEAUTIFUL IN SIDE. NICE BAR...
