So I recently went to this place to see a hip-hop show my cousin Aztec9 was in it was free which is always nice the bar itself was interesting the people were all very nice however I got some strange looks probably because I've never been there before I'm a pretty big guy so I tend to bring in some strange looks at times our bartender "Kate" was awesome super friendly with a beautiful smile you couldn't ask for better the bar itself has an old school feel to it with lots of pinball machines which is a nice change it's not a fancy place by any means but I didn't feel threatened I felt quite safe parking is pretty decent the bathrooms are very small and the ladies bathroom has the wash utilities on the outside of the restroom some people don't like that, but it didn't really bother me or any of my lady friends that were there with me that night. I feel like the beer could be colder I tried a few taps they were nice but just not as cold as I'd like there's no pitchers but they do serve a liter size glass tap which is nice. the drinks seem to be made strong which is also a plus. I would definitely go here again. Like I said once I got settled in people did not have a problem speaking to me I like conversation there was a lot of that from different walks of life which made it very interesting so I would definitely go back. if I had to rake the bar on a scale of 1 to 10 I think it would get about a 6 and one thing I forgot to mention because they did have a live show the Jukebox wasn't on very much but someone did manage to sneak a song on and I have to admit their sound system is pretty good which to me is half the battle you got to have good drinks and a good sound system which they have and the prices weren't bad either so if you're looking for a spot, something new, meet some new people and enjoy a nice friendly setting this could be the one for you we didn't try any food and in fact I don't know if they have any to offer, maybe next time I hope this helps anyone interested in the place I for one had a pretty good time and my friends seem to like it...
Read moreYou can't hate a place if going into it you know it's reputation of being "grungy". It seems very cliquey there, meaning the bartenders give extraordinarily special attention to regulars and if your newcomer be prepared to wait for service. Also don't put money into the touchtunes jukebox there, if it doesn't suite the particular bartender's palate be prepared for it to be turned wayyyyy down. There is a backroom where there is a tiny stage where more often than not a super obscure band will be playing on the weekend. If you're from Riverwest this place is amazing, but outsiders be warned, it's not your...
Read moreFine as far as bars go. Does the job. As far as etiquite. I'd have to state a much less fond opinion. However my mother always told me to speak kindly of others. However not my personal cup of tea, if you're a fan of low intelligence levels and lack of respect you'll fit right in at Bremen. Just as it's home America it's loud, bigoted, and steps on any one they can justify to them selves they are 'more' than.
P.S You find it beneficial to show respect to your regular business bringing, artists if not your patrons.
P.P.S Sadly won't be able to forget.
Sincerely, the girls in the...
