My wife and I attended the heart making class on May 17th. Kent was an excellent teacher and made you feel really comfortable working with the steel. He emphasized that the piece you are making is a "one of a kind" that was specifically made by you. There are no mistakes in what you make! He was very hands off which allowed you to really work with the steel. Even though he was hands off, he personally worked with each team to coach them on their own piece. I was given a gift card by a friend who figured I’d like a class, which has turned out to be one of the coolest gifts I’ve ever received. The fire poker class was so in depth yet accessible. Kent was a very funny, personable and knowledgeable instructor. The studio space is cool, and working with hot metal is invigorating. They also have a gallery with some beautiful and practical works of art. I definitely want to come back! I think I’ll have to work out my hammering arm before next time 🔨 💪. We won a silent auction item to take a class and finally got to go today, tons of fun. Kent is a great guy, funny & a good teacher. We made roasting skewers and while at first glance it looked simple it took a bit to make them.
