Rooms were clean. Nothing to write home about and the minimum you should expect for a hotel in the middle of a big city. My low rating is for the terrible management at this location, none of whom seem to know what they're doing. I stayed at this location for 2 nights and checked out last Wednesday. Within 20 minutes of checking out, I realized I must've left my wallet at the hotel. My flight wasn't for another few hours, so I called and asked them to check my room for my wallet since I could've easily of lost it somewhere else after checking out. They checked, said they turned the room over, couldn't find it. Okay, fine, annoying but this is why I always bring my passport. 2 HOURS later, when I'm about to board my flight, they call saying they DID find it this morning but there was "a language barrier" with the housecleaner. Okay, well, I'm boarding, can't exactly go back now. The lady tells me no worries, happens all the time, what they do is management will give me a call later for instructions but essentially I'll prepay a shipping label and email it to them. Great! Simple and easy.
That was Wednesday morning. Friday rolls around, no word still, so I call that morning. The guy on the phone says oh thats weird, text me your name, number, and address to this number and I'll get it to the manager. Okay. Sure.
Monday afternoon, STILL no word. I call again. Lady says okay the managers name is Yogi, I'll give him your number and he'll call you later. I get a call an hour later. Manager says he's on his way to USPS now with my wallet and will let me know how much prices are and once I pick one he'll charge the incidental card number on file. Cool!
Tuesday morning (today), once more, I have to call and ask what the hell is going on with my wallet. Lady says some weird bullshit about how USPS didn't get back to the manager for pricing (He was supposed to driving there, what do you mean they didn't get back to him?) then transfers me to manager. Manager declines my call, voicemail full. Have to call front desk again. Give my number yet again for manager to call me because hes too busy right now. Finally get a call 5 hours later, hes supposedly finally getting it ready to ship out. We go over pricing for shipping, nothing crazy, as expected. Casually tags in a $30 "convenience" fee for the hotel. This was never mentioned before. Manager just says "oh." Can't find my incidental card info like he said he could, have to repeat another card number to him (thank goodness I didn't have all my cards in that wallet!).
I'm leaving 2 stars ONLY because the wallet is supposedly finally in transit with supposedly everything I left in there. I have a tracking number so I at least know something is on its way. But $30 for a "convenience" fee? When it was the staffs fault they can't understand Spanish, because God forbid you learn a little Spanish to properly communicate with your coworkers?? When it took a week to get the thing shipped out to me after they screwed up and said they didn't have my wallet?? After NO communication and borderline having to harass them to ship it out??? And especially since that fee wasn't told...
Read moreStay 2/15/25 to 2/16/25 This is the fourth time I have stayed at this location. It's been over 3 years & I thought maybe they'd get it together. NOPE! I walk in, the front desk personnel, was not friendly. I asked for a room where the WI-FI was working because my last stay, I had a lot of issues which they knew on the end they put me, the WI-FI didn't work. Well, she didn't acknowledge my request. She put me on the third floor. I get to the room & I inspect as I always do. I bring my own sheets & blankets because housekeeping doesn't clean at some properties like they should. There was hair on the toilet, tub, bathroom floor & countertop. No bath mat. One of the hand towels looked like toothpaste stains were on it. One of the bath towels has been used so much you can see the wear & tear in it, i couldsee through it. Throw it away! The desk chair, the leather is peeling & looks tacky. The TV would not play. I had to call the front desk. I work in IT, I didn't want to meet around with their equipment. The guy who came up tried & couldn't get it to work either. He went & got his son. After pushing buttons, unplugging cables, & about 20 minutes of me keeping my composure, the TV came on. They don't know what they did to make it work. I couldn't get to the guide, I couldn't search for a channel, I couldn't go back, I could only go down. The water from the sink was hot. The water to take a shower was not! The manager was not there when I checked out. I called to leave a voice message, his mailbox is full. There is probably a reason for that. I have called 3 additional times, one young man answered like it was his home & very unprofessional. I have yet to hear back from the manager! He went to donate blood yesterday, 2-21-25, & I was told my previous note requesting a call was still stuck on his door. I plan on calling until I speak with the manager & if another trip is necessary to speak in person, I can do that as well. I am a travel agent & I try to give establishments my thoughts before I post a review. I was left no choice in this instance and very...
Read moreWe booked this hotel after reading mixed reviews so we knew going in it may be hot or miss. The price was average for the area. The elevator was out of order but our room was on the first floor. It's worth noting though because many of the reviews mentioned it broke down a few weeks before we were there but those guests were told it would be fixed in the next few days. The halls smelled like they doused them in air freshener to cover the smells. The hall way by the stairs and exit reeked. Our sheets were stained - clean but stained. The TV was a 32" TV which isn't ideal for a larger room. The fridge didn't get cold and the A/C only ran with the fan on high. The fan on high was extremely noisy and all night it would run for 20 minutes then shut off for 5. It kept me up all night because of it. The hot tub had a cigar and hair floating and scum formed when the jets turned on. The chlorine was so strong that no one stayed long - 2 groups left as we got there and mentioned The chlorine and we only lasted 10 minutes. The key card for the end door didn't work so we had to go into the front from around the side of the building in the rain. The vending machine took my $5 and then said sold out or all the drinks but only gave me $0.75 back. I was told I had to contact the vending company for a refund. We wanted water. I tried the machine in the breakfast area and it was off. We did get water from the fitness room but the filter light was flashing and singing and it was not cold. The breakfast selection was cereal, individually packaged muffins, bagels, toast and juice. The location was the only okay thing about it. It was close to the airport and 15 mins from downtown and the third ward. Overall, I would not recommend staying here! The did finally put an out of order sign up on the vending machine after I overheard two other complaints about it. "Out of Order" sums...
