Mitchell Airport Park — Attraction in Milwaukee

What has happened to maintenance in general at this airport?? We parked our car in the daily parking, then made our way to the 2nd level elevators to find both of them out of service. Ok so we took the stairway up to 3rd to be met with broken down automatic walkway. Having to use the bathroom from driving for over an hour drive the first set of bathrooms were closed. Found another set of bathrooms that were free to use but the condition of them were horrible! Urine wetness all over the floor below the urinals, heavy thick urine smell coming from them and thick dried urine stains inside them. The floor was super dirty as well. We walked past the pet potty area to find again an unkept condition, stains spills and messes throughout. The 3rd set of bathrooms were even worse! Not impressed at all since we've been flying out of the Milwaukee airport for years and this has been the worse experience...

The sheriff has nothing better to do and they patrol this park by driving on the path causing ruts in the sides and damage to the squad cars hopping the curbs. They also park to the east and sit on their cell phone and will arrest anyone that walks too far east (no well defined boundaries -dumb) There used to be a drinking fountain near the field however the county doesn't have much funds to keep putting it back in place each year. Many trees are missing due to the emerald ash...

Love stopping here for a break. Many other people seem to stop for a lunch break while they watch the plans take off and land at the airport. We haven't done that yet but I love the idea! I enjoy listening to the control tower talk to the pilots on the radio. Watching kids get excited while they watch the plans is really cute too. There's a bunch of parking here, most people stay in their car. No seating, no bathrooms, no play equipment, just parking and...
