In Plane View — Restaurant in Milwaukee

This is a very casual place but not dive-bar casual. It's a very comfortable atmosphere, with no glitz or glamour - which face it, only adds to the cost of food and drinks. The lighting is actually perfect, not real bright, but not so dim that you can't read the menu...not to mention the menu is printed in a typeface that doesn't require a magnifying glass. The music can be heard so you know what's playing, but low volume so you can speak in normal tones to those at your table.

The service was great. We came in as a group of eight and he was kind enough to put two 4-tops together for us. Our server seemed very nervous and shy at first. New? Never had a large group before? Unknown, but as the night went on, he became more relaxed and social. Our orders were all correct and he was attentive without hovering, asking about refills regularly.

The food is delicious. We had three Reubens ordered, as well as a Rachel, a BYO Burger, Pulled Pork Melt, a Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I had the Shrimp Basket. Everyone just loved everything. There wasn't a disappointed taste bud or tummy in the group. I found the shrimp to be deliciously crunchy yet still very moist on the inside with great flavor. The fries have a coating on them that doesn't change the flavor, but makes them crispier on the outside. Fabulous. And their coleslaw is real tasty with minimal celery seed (you know it's there, but it's not over done like a lot of places). And prices are MORE than reasonable. I'm not a fish eater, but a few in the group said they'd be back to give the Friday...

We stopped by here after a google search of places to eat. I'm not from the area so my friends and we decided to give it a shot.

First impressions, place looked clean, wasn't busy when we first got there, and easy to find.

It got busy!

The Food: it was great. We got the grilled cheese burger, cheese burger, a ham and cheese grilled cheese and a Ruben Roll(highly recommend). The grilled cheeses on the burgers were amazingly crispy and were not soggy at all. 100% reccomended. And the beer was cold!

Service: well this was the one interesting part, so our first waitress took our drink and food order. There were two girls working out on the floor and that's it. After ten mins out waitress grabbed her bag and walked out. Leaving the bartender with all of the tables and the bar.

I give huge props to the bartender, she just took it in stride and started doing her best. Serving tables and the bar all by herself letting people know she's behind and alone but she will be with people as quick as she could. She deserves a huge thanks from her manager or owner.

Don't let my serving experience stop you from going the food and my bartender server was amazing 5/5 recommend and my friends and I will be back!

I've been stopping here for years at one time it was even a disco called Jetsetters but that was then and it's changed names and clientele a few times since then . Today as " In Plane View " it's still a great place with great food and nice large windows and plenty of off street parking . The staff has always been polite and eager to help serve the customer. Get a build yer own pizza or build yer own burger or choose from one of the many delicious selections already on the menu cuz everything is good and I've even made a special trip just for the fries I prefer the daytime hours because it's a bit less noisy but left one star off for the loud club type hyperbass music but that's just me and my ears , lots of the young crowd come in at night and still have a good time and the food is still really good Stop in and give'em a try There's a large bar and tables are everywhere they have the usual bar games and a pool table and darts Always something going on and specials on wings ...
