Flamingos is more than a vintage shop. It’s curated with love. Its staff of lovable and kindhearted people from all walks of life are there to enable you to experience your type of joy. I would be leary of reviews that focus on less than one percent of the shop’s inventory. Besides, Sotheby’s just auctioned AI art for a cool 1 million dollars. These kinds of hurtful reviews can cause unnecessary harm to small businesses that are dependent on their community to survive. I go to Flamingos once or twice a month to look for a very specific thing in its many iterations and I always find it. Anthony, the owner, is kind and generous with deals if you ask. Ebony reminds us that as short as life can be, we should still get a little something for ourselves and the ones we love. I would encourage you to indulge in the scavenger hunting where you’ll find other weird, nostalgic, creepy little things along with reasonably priced vintage albums, books, tea sets, and so on that can make your home come alive! There’s some practical stuff there, too. The most practical I’ve ever bought was a 50’s inspired floor lamp that sits in my bedroom. Thank you so much Flamingos. My home wouldn’t be the same...

Since they are only open usually 1-3 days a month, they spend their time collecting some of the most amazing pieces for their next opening, which means the selection is different each time. The staff is wonderful with the kindest hearts, and are always happy to help you. I never leave here empty handed, it’s impossible. This is a 2-story shop, filled with cool eclectic pieces that will be unique to just you. My house is filled with some truly special pieces from Flamingos, some with a beautiful back story that the staff shared with me. If you’re looking for vintage glass lamps, this is for sure the best shop in the Twin Cities. I love love love this place and the staff, know they love me and all of their visitors, and I try to never miss an opening. You won’t either once you’ve...
Read moreFlamingos is an absolutely magical place! I love taking out-of-town visitors there to introduce them to the quirky, silly, fun side of Minneapolis. They are consistently blown away by both the vibes and the excellent selection of vintage wares. It’s always a joy to peruse each room, and I often do multiple laps per visit. There’s so much to see, and I’ve found some incredible pieces here. My favorite finds are a glass butterfly lamp, a handmade teapot, two vintage teal wooden chairs, and a lovely original painting. My partner has found some incredible vintage men’s clothes too,...
