New City Church — Local services in Minneapolis

This establishment does a wonderful job creating an inclusive environment for those that have, for any reason, felt like they don't belong or have been ostracized by their respective communities, and their sermons have been very refreshing and unorthodox, to the point that I felt like everytime I was able to gain a perspective that I have never heard before, but definitely need. It is common for church goers to experience similar messages or motivational speeches when attending a service, but New City does a wonderful job on not only enlightening, but also supporting. Another thing worth noting is that the church doesn't stop where they're at, even when things are working smoothly. They consistently seek feedback to improve their processes so that attendees can have even better participation in activities. Their unwavering motivation to not be complacent with the status quo is inspiring and says a lot about their operations as an establishment....

New City does such a great job at creating a community where truly everyone feels not only WELCOMED but AT HOME. New City centers marginalized voices in such a beautiful and genuine way. It's the only racially diverse church where I have felt that queer/BIPOC folks' voices matter as much as any other voices. I love how this community has been helping me walk towards a healthier theology that isn't built on oppressive ideas (especially ideas I learned growing up in the White Evangelical church). This community is not afraid of doubts or questions and isn't waiting for you to believe a certain thing before they embrace you wholeheartedly.
