People are distant, Rarely do I see acknowledgment of others. Are parks a place to be alone and be set apart from others? Geese, ducks, turtles and other wildlife acknowledge and communicate with one another. Humans should interact. Together we live on this planet in this city, visiting this park, walking down a street or path and seems to be a question if we cross paths with someone do we acknowledge/communicate with them? Is it not alright to look for brief eye contact, friendly gensture, or kind words? Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. Not at all the vibe. I am not contagious. I will not hurt you. Let's see a smile, let's hear that voice, let's help each other out. BE KIND IN ALL WAYS. DO NOT LITTER. LOOK AND SEE EACH OTHERS FACES. SHARE A STORY ABOUT YOURSELF. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT BUT STILL VERY MUCH THE SAME. Hope to see you and exchange acknowledgment. Not only me but everyone. It is a challenge. A dare. Look at people, and say hello. 6-11-24 Tuesday about 4:45pm I went to the picnic table with the geese in front of them. I brought some old bread along to feed them and admire them up close and personal. I heard a voice asking if I was feeding the birds? I WAS WRONG. OF COURSE I AM. I WAS WRONG. NO MORE FEEDING THE ANIMALS. There is not sign posted there anywhere I had seen. I looked. 100% I respect her approach. That is cool. Yes I was wrong. DO NOT FEED...
Read moreMAYDAY is a crazy fun parade that starts at 30th and ends at the park with a day long festival and passion play taking place. People come to enjoy the day with friends and family! Very kid friendly! Bring a blanket and save a spot on the hill! Pack toys and kites and food for a picknic or sample a huge selection of food items from local vendors, enjoy live music and dance all day long. Pets are welcom but I strongly suggest leashes and sanitary clean up. Some times the weather can change quick so bring a jacket for it might rain but it hasnt stopped the parade or festival yet. Things start at 10 am and go till 6 ish. Keep your eye out for the dates...
Read moreLaid an old friend to rest in the park recently. What a long strange trip it’s been. OK maybe it was the night of the zombie pub crawl and I had makeup on my face. It took me a minute to convince him of who I was. He looked the same as I remembered. He was the same as I remember. We shared pleasantries and small talk and made plans to link up in the future. Sadly we never made good on those plans and now we won’t be able to. Sorry about that old friend. ...
