Hiawatha Church — Attraction in Minneapolis

We are so grateful for Hiawatha and the impact it has had on our family. The expositional, gospel-centered preaching of the Bible is life-giving and has been life-changing for us. It’s all about Jesus and what He has done for us and never veers to the dangerous works-based theology that is prevalent in Christian churches. And the people…we absolutely LOVE these people! They love each other well, don’t take themselves too seriously, are filled with joy, and are people...

This church was such a safe haven for us while we lived in the city. In the midst of the chaos of the world, this was a refreshing, life saving cup of the life saving water of Christ, consistently preaching Christ and the cross and not how we can add to what was already done. The steadiness of the preaching, the open arms of those that attend, and the care of the pastors there are hard to find in the self-focused world we live in....

First visit, and will not be returning. The music was too loud, and there were no acoustical barriers for the drums. The young Pastor preaching, was very hard to follow, and the content of the sermon was more personal opinion than scriptural-based. The continuity of the sermon was also difficult to follow, with a lot of abstract points, with no effort to connect the dots. Friendly people, but not a place to be...
