Parkway Pizza - Longfellow — Restaurant in Minneapolis

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of dining at Parkway Pizza, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish, all thanks to the exceptional service provided by our server, Myra. From the moment my friends and I walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening.

Myra's attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for her job were truly remarkable. She took the time to explain the menu in detail, recommending some of the restaurant's signature dishes and sharing her personal favorites. Her knowledge about the ingredients and preparation methods made our dining choices much easier and more enjoyable.

Throughout the meal, our server ensured that our drinks were always filled, and she checked on us at the perfect moments, striking a balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism added a special touch to our dining experience, making us feel valued and appreciated as customers.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. family and I were hungry for some pizza we are from Iowa so unfamiliar with the area. Will pull up Google Maps and fauna suggestion for Parkway Pizza dot-dot-dot we walked in it was rather nice and air condition two rooms free pool table fan foosball. We decided to eat outside there was plenty of seating outside. It was lukewarm I suppose if we were walking around and exercising we would be sweating but we were sitting under a canopied table. It took quite a few minutes before the waitress came out to see us but that was okay give us plenty of time to look over the menus and decide what we wanted. What's the waitress came out we gave her our order. We had a 12-inch pizza and some hot wings wife had a salad. When the order came out the wings were very good spicy yet not too hot. Both my son and I are agreed that it was a perfect temperature for hot wings. The pizza and large pieces of sausage which my wife enjoyed. We had half carnivore pizza and the other half was Supreme I forgot that there is two different halves so I just dug into one side and started eating until they said that most of the spring was left then I realized that I had to need the wrong side ... even though that I got the Lion's Share of the pizza it was able to all get down to my belly. I had a glass of wine which the wife did not appreciate. Then after the wine I switch to a beer. Epic Fail. False advertising. Bought groupon for NE location which specifically states "Free Delivery within 10-minute drive of restaurant" and a google maps to this location will reveal that it is 9 minutes away. Called to order, was told that driver said it would take 20 minutes travel time and that I was out of their delivery area. (Either he/she is lazy, stupid or has never taken the route I described that does in fact take less than 10 minutes) I asked the girl on the phone very nicely to please let the manager know that groupon is making false claims and they might want to change that... and I could just hear the fake smile on her face when she said she'd do that right away. Wow.

So, still in need of pizza I called an order in to the Minnehaha location (13 minutes away) and was told that I was out of their delivery zone but that they would make an exception as it wasn't busy. When the pizza arrived my first impression was that it looked almost like a Lake Harriet Pizza... which is where the similarity ended, unfortunately. Lukewarm temp, tasteless sauce... crust like rubber. I'm all for neighborhood owned joints but these people really need to get their shite together. Next time I'm calling Sarpino's... better value for money and they get it to...
