KNO Woodworks — Attraction in Minneapolis

I just wanted to express our complete satisfaction in KNO woodworks recent completion of a back and side yard privacy fence, as well as a Pergola for our patio.

A couple years ago we were looking to replace an aging and extremely rickety fence between our house and the next property noticing that a couple of our nearby neighbors had used KNO to install their fences and had expressed satisfaction with the work they’d done. Based on those reviews and obviously seeing how great the fences looked we contacted KNO as well. Nick came over late August, went through everything thoroughly providing us with a very reasonable quote all with in a day or two. Just over a month later we had a beautiful new fence installed in just a few hours!

So … after living on a corner lot for almost 29 years we decided it was time to rip out the chain link fence along the other side of the house right next to the public sidewalk to create the privacy we were longing for. Nick came over again, this time in April, clearly addressing all our questions, helping us decide on what would work best including height of fence and how much lattice etc. then providing us with a quote about a day later.

The team that was assigned to do the work, Gunnar, David and Eric were great! First off, they arrived promptly on day one at 7 am going over everything with us before beginning the work assuring we were all on the same page! After the “walk through” the team worked tirelessly with great attitude till just about sunset, arriving again the next day at 7 am, finishing up early in the afternoon. I was amazed how quickly they worked, but paying attention to detail throughout! I was especially pleased that during the first day even though we’d initially chosen to install a 5 foot fence it would be wiser to go with a 6 foot. This was no problem and the changes were made with barely a change in the contracted price!

We recently had Nick and the KNO Woodworks team complete a deck and pergola on the front of our home. From start to finish, the process was seamless. Colin helped get our idea down on paper and put together the cost estimate and Nick and Jackson successfully completed the project build in less than 3 days! It was incredible seeing our vision come to life in the capable hands of the professionals at KNO Woodworks. It turned out even better than we expected and we've received many complements from neighbors and friends.

Nick and Jackson are perfectionists and were candid about the process, details, and care and quality of the finished product. Nick and Colin patiently answered our many questions at all times of the day via phone, text and e-mail.

Even more importantly than the project itself, this crew is full of good humans. They genuinely cared about our family and dog and the safety of our kids in the evenings as the build developed. It was very clear that the team takes great pride in their work and values one another and their clients. For us, this project wasn't just a transaction - - it is the beginning of a long-term relationship with people we now consider friends.

From start to finish, KNO Woodworks was simply the best.

I had become accustomed (sadly) to contractors who constantly questioned me, as the female one in our house who manages home projects. From the moment Nick answered the phone to Matt's crew arriving on site to my final invoicing emails with Colin, I was listened to and treated with the utmost respect as a customer.

I could write a novel about how impressed I was with the creativity, responsiveness, craftsmanship, promptness, respect and humor that Matt's crew displayed. I asked them to get a bit creative to construct a frame for an outdoor swing and they took the challenge head on. Even my neighbors who might have been a bit skeptical of our installing of a fence fell in love with the team and definitely are impressed with the project. If I could have KNO expand their offerings to do all my home repairs, I would. I trust their team and work 100% and can't recommend them enough.

I had been warned by Nick that perhaps KNO would be a bit more expensive but pledged I would not regret it. From the four bids I got, KNO was the least expensive. In retrospect, Nick was right - I would absolutely pay a bit more for the quality of product and customer service.
