I have had lots of negative experiences with businesses, but this is the first one that was so bad I felt obligated to warn other people. I was recommended to Reese by 3 different people I know. The first several times I went to Reese was fine. Then I decided to go to a darker blonde. I always make sure to express that my biggest fear with going blonde is having my hair turn orange. The second time we went darker, my roots were orange. When I was in California, I had it corrected by a top level stylist out there. He referred to the color as ā€œChucky orange.ā€ His take was that she was using a product that works well on light hair, but that should not even be considered on dark hair like mine. When he finished my color, it looked normal and great. I had Reese only use toner this time, thinking that would avoid any potential issues from using the wrong product. It turned out orange. When I politely asked her if it was supposed to be orange, she looked offended and immediately went on the defensive. She told me that toner was supposed to make it look orange when applied to the the level of blonde it was. Maybe she didn’t listen when I said I don’t want my hair orange - I don’t know. I can’t understand why, if it was SUPPOSED to turn out orange, she wouldn’t mention that to me beforehand when we had agreed on a sandy blonde. Ego is okay if you are really good at something, but if you are not good at it, having an ego and refusing to apologize for your mistakes is not okay. Apologizing for making a mistake goes a long way. Reese didn’t once say she was sorry. She didn’t charge me for the toner, but it am now forced to walk around looking like this until I can pay someone else to fix it. She didn’t once offer to correct it or do anything to compensate me for the fact that I am forced to walk around with orange streaks in my hair for at least a week. Aside from not being a good colorist, my opinion is that her behavior and customer service skills are highly unprofessional. I would absolutely warn anybody against going here for any reason unless this is a risk they are willing to take.

Megan R (the owner) is a fantastic gal. She was my stylist in Dallas, Texas and was loved by all! She has built a beautiful salon here in Minneapolis that is cozy and inviting. She hand picks her wonderful stylists who are kind talented humans. If you want a wonderful stylist l recommend everyone herešŸ’• McKenna and Reese have both done wonderful work on my hair and I recommend them to everyone. They do excellent work. I have found my forever salon here! If you're looking for a fantastic stylist you can't go wrong with any of the stylists at Salon Abe.

The fabulous Reese is truly your mane contact :) I've got a dusty blonde natural color but I LOVE a bright blonde look. SALONabe not only has a vibe that will make you feel like your at peace and taken care of but Reese has a magic touch when it comes to all things hair. It's rare when you find a stylist who cares and takes their time as if they were working on their own hair. A true artist and visionary. Thank you for helping me feel beautiful!

I loved loved loved my experience at Salon Abe. It was my second time, had been somewhere else in the meantime that was closer to my home and wow did I regret switching even for just once - I would never go anywhere else than Salon Abe with Megan/Reese. I felt listened to, acknowledged, not rushed at all, I can only say positive things about my two experiences at Abe. Loved my cut the first time, now just got the full highlights/color/cut/style experience today and I am very very pleased. I have full trust in this salon! Reese has ā€œcarte blancheā€ with my head! Merci!

Editing my review to add that I went yesterday with Erin and I think I found my new stylist! Reese is still amazing, but I also have full trust in Erin now! I am so pleased with my hair, she did exactly what I wanted and Reese and her could not be more caring in welcoming me in the salon. LOVE THIS...

I've been seeing Reese for about 4 years now and I always get compliments on my hair. Recently, I havent been the happiest when it comes to my hair and she sits and listens to my concerns, needs, and wants. She takes no offense when I tell her I'm just not digging what we've been doing. She wants me to be the happiest and she'll do what it takes to make that happen. My hair is weirdly curly and kinky in certain areas of my head and she doesnt try to force my hair to do what its not naturally going to do. And she doesnt give me a style that needs a ton of maintenance to make it look good. I totes recommend her! And I think I have even converted a few of my friends to go...
