One of the worst online shopping experiences I've ever had.
I bought a Samsung dishwasher online using Affirm and chose to pick it up curbside. The email said to call with my order # from my car, which I did, and was told to go inside by the employee who answered. I spoked with an older guy at the counter and he looked up my account with my phone # which gave old orders but finally found the right one (however, it was not showing to be a Samsung brand). He also said my order had not been pulled yet and had someone go do that (even thought the email said it was ready). He then asked for my ID and credit card; I gave him my ID and explained that I used Affirm to pay for it so there is only a virtual card, which I showed him. He said I needed to talk with the manager and dismissed me by helping the person behind me in line.
The manager was dismissive and rude (I dealt with him a few years earlier for an LG smart fridge I bought there and he sold me the floor model even though I had paid for and agreed to buy one new in box, but that's a different story...). He shrugged his shoulders and said he needs the original card and turned his back to me (his way of telling me he was done with me). He started doing other work so I raised my voice to get his attention and explained that I used Affirm and explained what it was. He claimed to be familiar with Affirm but he said he "never got an email saying they don't need physical credit cards". I said "I guess we have to cancel the order then" and he seemed happy with that; one less customer to deal with, I suppose. I voiced my frustration with their store, their policy, their lack of customer satisfaction, and so forth. At that point, he said he could call someone to try to see what could be done and asked if I wanted him to. Being frustrated, I said, "It depends; what are the odds it will work?" He then hung up his phone and said he was not going to call and then canceled the order. Instead of doing what he could to help a customer, and stating that early on in the process (which would have made me feel appreciated as a customer and as a human being), he chose to be vindictive. Read moreInitial experience was good. Terry helped me select new 55" Samsung QLED 70a Smart TV. Was knowledgeable and the price ($899) was in line with other retailers. However TV was lemon! Apps would take forever to load or crash. Noticed dead pixels on screen. Also there is a 6" shadowy line running across the middle of the TV. One week later I contacted Terry for an exchange/refund. Per ABC's website, returns are at discretion of the store. That means they could have accepted an exchange/return but (likely) chose not to. At this location it's only 72 hours. Said I could exchange for same model if I had the box. I said, I don't have the box but I can install new TV and repackage old one with new box. He said we can't do that because each box had a serial #? Why can't we just box it up and make label with the other serial #?! When I brought these points up, I was told these are Samsung's policies. They need the box with the correct serial. Otherwise I need to get a work order # from Samsung to get repaired/replaced. I then proposed the crazy idea of swapping out my TV for the floor model. He again said no. Said I need to work with Samsung on the manufacturer's warranty. I can then give him the work order number and he can help resolve situation. Overall my main issue is with their return policy. Because dealing with Samsung is a pain. Other retailers in the area have grace periods ranging from 2 weeks to 30 days. Read moreHighly recommend this place for the next appliances you need. We needed a stove, and when we walked in, Chad greeted us, and I'm glad he did. He knows everything about stoves. Great guy, has a great personality, and no pressure selling at all. He can answer any questions you have, and if there is one he can't, he will get the answer for you. They have great sales and great prices and they deliver or you can take it with you. Also, if you need any furniture, stop in to Big Sandy's Furniture. It is a great place with great prices. I mentioned them because they sent us to ABC Warehouse to find our new stove and had a lot of nice things to say about them. I really appreciate them recommending you to us.
