Well this was just a plain bad experience which I did not expect nor have I had with other Core Life's. I ordered a $27 tuna poke bowl with the extra tuna costing $7. The portion I got was the standard portion... but, I didn't discover this until I was home. No recourse online... I'm supposed to call the store and wade through an explanation. The rest of the story: I ordered for pickup. I walked in and there was hardly anybody in the place. I was dressed in a business suit looking middle aged and professional. There was one bag on a rack with open access for pickup and facing the patrons. There were no other orders. I grabbed the bag and inspected it and it was clearly my order. The young lady behind the counter snapped at me and said "you need to wait and ask for the bag to be handed to you by a staff member...". I handed it back to her. She then challenged me about my name. I said "Barker" and she prodded for my first name. I said "Ralph" thinking there was probably equal probability that it was under my formal name vice my nickname "Ted". She said "no! It's not your order!". At this point my blood pressure is beginning to rise. I don't understand how this person is getting paid to do this gig. I managed to clarify the name situation through more barbed wire and sniper fire and I took the bag and left. I'm thinking to myself, I just paid $27 for this experience. Here's the review. Another 15 minutes I'm adding to the equation.
Vet your employees if you're in the service industry. If they are being paid to do a job, they are not entitled to ruin other people's days in the name of "having a bad day themselves" or whatever. Not.
**A couple hours later: Ok. I'm completely impressed with Corelife damage control. They reached out, apologized and refunded the order. That's how it's done, folks. I will remain a customer with just that simple gesture. That's a PR coup right there. I'm giving a star...
Read more**EDIT as we have tried Corelife Eatery again and the service and food were outstanding. We dined in this time and we will definitely be back. I really do hope that with carry out they do start labeling bags to make it easier and that the food will be labeled correctly but we will eat here again. I got the Greek chicken bowl, daughter got the BBQ chicken bowl, my husband got a bowl also but I don't remember what his was but it was good also.
So this was our very first time ever trying Corelife Eatery, and we are deciding if we will be back. We ordered online for pickup, and that was an easy process. It was a good start. We get there and my husband goes in to pick it up, told the young lady he was there for an order pick up, the girl acted like she didn't want to be inconvenienced and pointed to the rack. There were two bags sitting right next to each other, and my husband asked, "Are both of these ours?" She got an attitude and said "NO". Okay, cool, no problem if the bags had had names on them somewhere to show whose was whose. Not on the bag, not on the receipt. He politely asked, "Which one is for?" and gave my name. She acted like it was such an inconvenience to her. So he grabbed the bag and asked if drinks were somewhere else as we had a drink with our order. She just flopped it down at him. We thought we were just ordering regular lemonade, and what we got was pink and so so so very sour. One of the tacos wasn't wrapped properly and hoped on the top as some of the contents fell out. They labeled only one of the wraps, which is totally fine since we only had two. EXCEPT they labeled the wrong wrap. We ordered the Greek chicken wrap & chicken cobb wrap. The chicken cobb was labeled greek. We got halfway done and realized we were eating the wrong wraps. Yes, food was good, but the first impression is a lasting one, and I'm not sure we...
Read moreCorelife Eatery was the perfect place for a healthy lunch! I will definitely be eating here again. The atmosphere is modern and relaxed. There are various types of seating inside and then a patio outside. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with quotes about healthy eating that make you excited to have such a healthy meal. Order at the front, watch them make your food, pay for it, and then go find a seat. It’s super easy and simple. I would recommend looking at the menu online first because they have such a large selection. If you don’t have an idea of what you want, you’ll probably hold the line up trying to figure it out. We were lucky to go when it was slow, so there was no one behind us while we were deciding what to order.
Corelife Eatery has a huge menu selection so people enjoying different types of diets will have no trouble finding just the right meal for them. I found a vegan broth bowl with shiitake mushrooms and tofu. My boyfriend ordered a kale salad with, I think, a carrot ginger dressing. The broth bowl didn’t come with any grains, but when I asked them to add some quinoa to make it more hearty, it was no problem.
All the food is so fresh! As you walk down the line, it’s one beautiful, colorful, fresh food after another. They grated fresh ginger right on to the kale salad! Their lemonade is all sorts of different colors too! I want to go back just to try their other styles of lemonade. We tried the beet lemonade, and the basil cucumber lemonade. Both tasty in their own ways.
The prices is comparable to other places with service like theirs. It’s what I would expect from a place like this. So I didn’t take off any stars for that.
They cater if you...
