Buy Me Toys & Comics — Attraction in Mishawaka

I have never felt as uncomfortable as this shop makes me feel. Over the weekend i purchased a high value comic from this store. It was Brzrkr #1 the 1:1000 variant. After the money was pulled from my account all $2,999.99 things started to go down hill. The first thing i noticed was that on a book with such a asking price they only offered standard shipping; this i assumed was a mistake, so i called them the next morning when they first opened to ask about getting a verified signature next day or 2 day delivery required for this book to protect both parties. They told me they would look into it. Then they tell me that the 3rd party app they use to process payments flaged my purchase as a fraudulent purchase because of a different billing and shipping address. This started a weekend long back and forth between the comic shop, and the 3rd party app. The owner told me they were going to cancel my order and refund it; even after i verified all of my personal information because in the words of the shop owner the only way they would proceed with the sale is if i wrote them a certified check, or did a wire transfer; they would not allow me to pay with a card over the phone for the book or pay online with my card again, but they would let me pay over the phone with a card for shipping. This store in my opinion is clearly just backing out of the sale for a reason they wish to keep hidden to me, because the excuses they gave were all conflicting with each other. After speaking with my bank i found that both of the options this store wanted me to use would give them complete and utter power over everything, i as a customer would have no protection from them just taking my money and leaving me empty handed. I gave these people all the information possible. But it is clear that they did not want to sell this book to me. Because after every attempt to still purchase this book while providing protection for both parties they only continued to come up with excuses as to why they wouldnt sell the book. I was even told that i couldn't pay with my card for the book because they did'nt want to incure a charge for processing a card payment again, even thou they made the decision to use the 3rd party provider. So i will never do business with this establishment again. I felt like i was being treated like a criminal for wanting to be a customer of their store, i have never been treated worse by a store. I have known of this place for years. Well before they are established at the location they are now. Why it has dawned on me lately to shop there more frequently, I honestly couldn't tell you....but this I can. I shop online A LOT. Instead of paying ahead for pre-orders that take forever to arrive, I often find those items well before the pre-order ship dates on the online stores at Buy Me Toys. In fact today, I found an item I thought I would have to wait weeks for and I got it today. When the big box store shelves are empty of product, Buy Me Toys is fully stocked. Plus, you aren't being price gouged either!!!!! The staff is tremendously friendly and I could spend all day there just deciding on what to buy just because the selection is so bountiful. This place sells collectibles. Comic books, figurines and the like. Marvel, DC, video games, horror.... the collection is amazing. And I call it that becuase that's how they price it. Like a collection. I don't do much shopping for this stuff, I took a few comics in looking for store credit and was told they don't buy comic books from the 90s. So I didn't but anything from them, either. I would probably have kicked in a few extra dollars to get something I actually wanted but they shut me down as soon as I asked. Didn't even look at the comics I had. And then I thought I'd look around but the price tags shocked me. If you want something. Like WANT something, I guess you'll pay what people are asking.
