My family and I have eaten here many times and have had a series of encounters where some where better than the others; that's to be expected.
However, a couple of weeks ago we went to eat at this location and we had June as our server. She gave off a feeling of "home" and for me that means the spirit of Aloha as we are from Hawai'i. The demeanor she carried herself with was a level of professionalism I've only ever really seen in a few places. June wasn't just professional, but she was friendly, kind, and funny as well. I later found that she has ties to Hawai'i too! She truly was the embodiment of the spirit I feel we carry within us and it showed on that day. June has been my favorite server thus far and I would love to have her again when we come back!
The food was amazing! It was by far my favorite visit as far as preparation and presentation went. June made sure to stand by and tell us to check our steaks before stepping away. My steak was cooked to perfection! While my husband's was a little raw on the inside. June apologized, and went to the kitchen to have them cook it a little longer. When she returned, she asked my husband to check it again. This time, it was the correct temperature. As introverts, it was nice to have someone ask us to check it beforehand, as we most likely wouldn't have said something and would have been disappointed with his meal. Our daughter on the other hand, was completely satisfied with her grilled cheese sandwich.
Originally, we felt a little bad because when we arrived, there were very few patrons in the restaurant. Being from the industry ourselves, we didn't want to impose, and had it been closer to closing, we would have gone elsewhere. The overall atmosphere was good and clean. It fit the industry standard for what to expect from the restaurant chain. Good and clean is all we really look for in most establishments anyway, so it fit our needs well.
Overall, we had an amazing time, and June has become someone we look forward to seeing when we come back. If you are going to dine here? Seek out June. I promise you...
Read moreWant to lose weight? These meals will destroy your interest in eating. And you’ll save money. Simply freeze one or two of their meals and put it on the table each time you feel hungry. Don’t thaw it. No need. When done looking at it toss it back in the freezer. No need to reorder. I ordered more than one meal just in case I was displeased by something. The dinners. Three strikes! There is nothing edible here Here’s the “feature “of one of our meals: Can’t guess what it is? Same here — ribeye, medium rare. There was much more, but this is the best of what we received. The dog didn’t eat any. However, he dines on food, so he knew not what to do with this stuff. Everything was doused heavily with salt, as if to make it seem “tasty”. Even the side dishes were extraordinarily dry. I pretty much stopped eating at Outback twenty years ago. Note I remember WHY. Evidently they’re still serving up meats they couldn’t sell in 2003. Even if true, that’s not an excuse for what they’ve done to it. I could go on. However, I’m feeling queasy the more I think about it. Alright, I’ll true in one more photo. I honestly don’t know what it is. But it’s very difficult to cut. I know it isn’t meat. It contains enough salt to kill tails healthy men. “White-ish stuff” I’ll call it. The green stuff supposedly is or was asparagus. I won’t even try that. When we ordered I was moderately hungry, but no more! I’m going to snack on a single peanut butter cup just so my belly won’t be completely empty. My refrigerator odds stocked with food that I could have cooked but I didn’t feel like it. I could easily grill some chicken breasts. But after looking at this Outback stuff I am no longer hungry at all. What do I recommend? I recommend you...
Read moreThe food itself was phenomenal as it always is. The steak was cooked to perfection. The sides were excellent and my salad was outstanding. However, the service left something to be desired. From the time I entered I felt that the server was rushing me. I had to tell her twice that I wanted a table. Then, once I ordered my selections, she rushed off. My salad arrived in a reasonable time but was followed too quickly by my entrée to enjoy my salad. I set the salad aside to work my way through my entrée selections while the server approached several times, asking if I was ready for my dessert. I felt continually rushed, especially since it was obvious I still had most of my entrée, let alone most of my salad, to get through. Eventually I was restarting my salad and ordered the dessert, and I felt that the server was relieved I was getting close to finishing my meal. Once my dessert arrived the server arrived with my check before I was even halfway through. I really didn't understand why she was in such a rush. There were only a few tables occupied. I got the distinct impression that the server didn't want to serve me as a person. I'm not sure why that was, but I had that feeling from the moment I stepped into the establishment. I can't fault the server for getting my order wrong or that she was lacking in courtesy, but feeling as if she didn't want me there put a distinct pall on my experience there. I've been to Outback a number of times and was never treated as if I were persona nongrata from arrival to departure. They will not miss my business, but any other steakhouse ranks higher than Outback does...
