This is a beautiful park to visit, but I am warning all brides to stay away from this park as their venue (and others maintained by the city of Mishawaka). I am not discouraging anyone from using the park but be aware that renting any parks from the city of Mishawaka is a gamble to whether or not it will be a hot mess or looking picture perfect.
I booked a Saturday in June for my small wedding ceremony and found that the gazebo area of the park wasn't maintained at all. Dead flower bushes, overgrown hedges that obstructed walkways, trampled flowers, landscaping that desperately needed mulch, gazebo that was old, weathered and filled with trash each time we visited. I attempted to contact the parks department twice in the month of June to address the condition of park and was informed that I would need to wait until the Monday of that week to make a formal complaint to grounds keeping. On the Tuesday before our rental date, we found the park in no better shape and the outdoor electrical outlet by the gazebo wasn't working either BUT they at least mowed the lawn recently. (Thanks!)I called on Wednesday requesting a refund after explaining the situation, Ryleigh stated that a refund could take up to 4-6 weeks and sent me a form. No response to that form after I sent it in...
I dont want any other couple considering this park as their venue after what I went through. Imagine all the stress you will have on the week leading up to your big day and find out that one of your venues looks awful, I had to find somewhere new at the literal last minute! I am so frustrated by the whole experience and communications with the parks dept. in the month of June. I had to completely rearrange my wedding day after months of planning, hiring a photographer, coordinating a live stream with family across the world and they can't be bothered to address my concerns or refund my rental fee. Called to request refund 6/23, submitted form 6/24, and still no response/refund as...
Read moreNice little park overlooking the river. Paved walk to Beutter park and it's a lovely walk. This time of year there were so many flowers all along the way. There is the Langlan sculpture with places to sit. Good parking. Only downside is the water treatment plant wafts a little. Not bad. This is a popular venue for wedding...

There’s a wide variety of flowers and fauna that are grown and maintained by volunteers. The gazebo nearby is cute and a good spot for some...
