Bedrock City Comic Co — Attraction in Missouri City

Ever since I visited the located in Missouri City on my recent trip to Houston the staff has been nothing short of exceptional. They made both me and my wife feel welcomed as family and went out of their way to get a book that was typically easy to find and I had it in my possession before we came back to Springfield. Now that I am a permanent resident of Texas I refuse to patronize or entertain any other comic shop in this state!!!! They have the best customer service and their ability to locate back issues are unmatched. Everytime I entered this location I feel welcomed and appreciated by them they greet everyone at the door and have no problem chopping up with you about what’s good to read and where to start if your on the ropes about a certain title. The store is by far the cleanest comic shop that I have ever been and coming from New York that is a true blessing to behold. There is nothing that the staff won’t do to make you feel like you are on their team whether it’s holding a few issues you picked out in your bin for a later date or helping you locate some from another store. Hands down if you are a true comic head and want to be treated like a superhero everyday then walk into the location in Missouri City!!! Bedrock City Comics in Sugar Land isn’t just a comic book store—it’s a sanctuary for fans, collectors, and anyone who wants to feel genuinely welcome. As someone who knows a lot about comics but tends to carry a bit of internal anxiety, I’ve had my share of bad experiences at other shops. (Yes, there are stores out there where “gatekeeping” feels like the house special.) But at Bedrock City Comics Sugar Land, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The real heroes here are the staff: Austin, Nick, and Sean. They’re not just kind; they’re diligent, hardworking, and, most importantly, real human beings who make you feel seen and appreciated. Whether I’m hunting for a rare gem, needing a recommendation, or just chatting about the latest Marvel or DC chaos, they treat me with respect and enthusiasm. No judgment, no ego—just a genuine love for comics and the people who love them.

Their service is so good that even if I didn’t live in Sugar Land, I’d still drive here just to shop. That says a lot because Houston traffic is no joke. But these guys make it worth it. They’re like the Avengers of customer service—each one with their own specialty but united by their mission to make your experience incredible.

Update: 2/8/22:After the owner replied to my original review, I reached out to the store and spoke with Mike about what happened. He was very helpful and all the while making sure he had my contact info while they check into it. Not long after ,they reached out and had a Ranga shipped out to my location immediately. They definitely took the time to pack it carefully, all of this done within a span of less than 2wks! Thank you again Bedrockcity for GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and for reaching out! CHECK YOUR BOXES. Sad to say i bought a Ranga figure from "Reincarnated as Slime" anime and when i finally opened it up at home it was empty. I bought an EMPTY BOX for $25. I don't have the receipt anymore so i can't return it and I live 3hrs away. Other than that, the store, the staff and all the figures were awesome!
