I saw this restaurant out of the corner of my eye. I had to try it out of curiosity. Is it real Thai food served with halal ingredients or a middle eastern Thai fusion. Turns out it was the former. I had the Pad Thai with shrimp. When it came out the first thing that caught my attention was the shrimp. Large and plenty of them. I counted ten. They were all plump, moist and delicious. The noodles were flavorful and fresh. It was a good Pad Thai with generous amount of shrimp. Most places skimp on the shrimp but not this place. Tom Kha was sweet, coconuty tart and spicy. Overall delicious. One of the best Tom Kha I’ve had. The green curry shrimp had string beans and eggplant. Both were appreciated. The shrimp was big and there were 10 pieces. They didn’t skimp and they were plump and moist. Chicken Penang curry: sauce was good but the chicken was dry. Will not order chicken next time. Curry had more coconut in it and that was good. Spicy eggplant with beef: This dish wasn’t bad. But because all the other dishes have more punch in flavors it tends to be overshadowed. Pad Kee Mow or Drunken noodles were good. Sweet and savory. Crying Tiger beef was tender and good with the sauce. Not my favorite but okay if you’re looking for something different. Triple Spicy Fish had a good sauce. I just wished there was more of it to put on rice. Fish was small and not enough meat. But not bad. Khao Soi Gai is a northern curry noodle soup reminiscent of Singapore Laksa but unique in its own flavors. This is probably the best version I’ve tasted. With mild spiced broth and addition of creamy coconut milk, it has an explosion of flavors. Order this dish but don’t share. It’s that good. Thai wings were super delicious. It surprised me how good it was.
I will definitely come...
Read moreFood was good, but very small portion and over priced, I enjoyed the food but it will be my first and last time coming here. I literally only ordered x1 order of chicken fried rice spicy, x1 order roti appetizer, x1 basil beef entree, and x1 mango sticky rice and my total was at $60. The roti appetizer was the biggest disappointment, it was a small sample size cup of sauce and a few sample size pieces of roti for like $8+, very disappointed in what the portion size actually was when I ordered it, and the basil beef entree was like $16+ and they will add +$4 for getting beef, much more affordable for the same food in other local restaurants that would at least provide a decent portion if your going to charge that much. Sorry but they need to reevaluate their pricing or amount of food they provide on the menu for more people to...
Read moreI was side swiped by the high price of soup. I knew it would be some charge since it doesn't come with the togo orders for lunch however I was not expecting it to be the same price as my lunch order. A warning of the price tag on the phone while ordering would have been good. So the negative is for service.
To rate this fairly without considering service, I'd like to update my review. Unfortunately the meal was not great overall. The Basil Stir Fry had a good spice however it lacked all other flavor. Tom Yum soup was ok. Not something I would come back for.
Quantity was about average. Soup quantity for the price was not good. Good that they kept everything in separate containers.
Good to support small business.. don't let my experience be the reason you don't go here. Try it yourself. It's not bad. Just not...
