This place is like an escape from the fast pace of the world. Attended Divine Mercy Mass here and it was very moving. The grounds are very serene and peaceful and you can go on retreats here.The ladies in the gift shop are eager to help with any request and the shop offers a lovely selection of Catholic gifts including jewelry, home decor, linens, baptism gifts, books and more. The nuns make homemade candy (fudge and heavenly hash) onsite that is delicious.

Description
The Convent and Academy of the Visitation, properly known today as the Visitation Monastery, is a historic complex of Roman Catholic religious buildings and a small cemetery in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The buildings and grounds were documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1937.
