This is great place in Modesto to shop because so many retail stores, restaurants and services are there. There is a bakery/sandwich/coffee shop that rivals downtown San Francisco for a quality restaurant and which would make me fat if I went there often. Their pastries and lattes are top notch. There are numerous upscale clothing and shoe stores, fabulous hair salons, a music store to buy instruments and get instructions for many different instruments, a dry cleaner (I love the owners), phone store, opthomoligist/optometrist, chic furniture and home furnishings stores, and on and on. Even a key maker, a trampoline adventure location, a health food store, Sprouts, a pharmacy, a medical center, restaurants of every kind. A print shop, Dittos. I could go on some more, but I've made my point. The location is super convenient at the intersection of Briggsmore and McHenry. Just about everyone I've interacted with is very professional....
Read moreworst experience ever! took our daughter here who is 2 years old and I was constantly scolded. "you can't do this, you can't do that only one person at a time" I understand keeping rules to keep the kids from hurting them self but when your told by a 16 year old that that you can't hold your 2 year old hand to help her jump because she's 2 and unsure..holding her hand to help her keep her balance and so she's not afraid. well that's going way to far. no 16 year old kid is going to know how to keep my daughter from hurting herself more than I (her father) will. I was told I can't step on the trampoline to help her, I can't hold her hand, I can't help her jump. This place is an absolute joke and I would never return here again. I'll just go to Costco and purchase our own trampoline with a net around it. There were 4 other families who brought their little ones who said the same thing to me. First and final visit to the Modesto...
Read moreI grew up in Modesto, I've always loved "The Village" as the locals call it. I'm always going to Sprouts Market, it's very clean and has a lot of healthy eating choices. Village Bakery is expensive but very nice to have lunch or a quick treat from time to time. They also have Togos, and The Chicken Barn which is cheaper and a must if you want chicken and spuds. Baurs is a very good restaurant, it was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. A bit pricey Very limited seating, so you have to get there right when they open. Kobe Sushi is cheap all you can eat sushi. If you sit at the sushi bar they have the little boats that float by and you grab what you want. There is also some foods buffet style towards the back, which I didn't care for much. I think the all you can eat lunch is $11.00. They also have some cute shops to walk around...
