I don't usually complain about business but I felt like I had to on this one
I took in my Tag Heuer Carrera 01 watch for a cleaning and service at Gabriel Jewlers in Modesto. I went here because they sized one of my Omegas and one of my Brietlings and bragged about the skills of their in house watch repair specialist. The person I bought the Tag from said it was due for a service and was loosing a few minutes but was in perfect working order and everything on the watch was functional, which it was.
I took it in and a Gabriel rep said it be ready in a week. They kept pushing it off by saying they were busy and needed more time. By the third week I was worried something was wrong.
Week 4 after I dropped the watch off they called and said the watch was ready to pick up and their watch repair specialist said whoever worked on my watch in the past ruined it and my chronograph and it wasn't keeping time exact time. He made it sound minor over the phone so I chalked it up to the downside of buying a preowned luxury watch and went to go pick it up.
When I received my Tag, which again, was in perfect working order outside of loosing a few minutes, I noticed it was making an ugly grinding sound when I wound shake it, the buttons were sticky and the tachometer would not work at all!!
The sales rep I was talking to didn't seem to know what a tachometer was, which is weird because he sells Breitlings. He told me there's nothing they could do and blamed the worsened state of my watch on previous repair work. He made it seem like I should feel lucky they didnt charge for the cleaning and service which is usually 300.. what a joke.
So in conclusion, I took in a tag for cleaning and service which had all of its functions fully operational and I was given back a watch which makes grinding noises and a tachometer that no longer works. I sent it in Tag to see what damage was done to my watch and waiting for a response from them.
I have many high end watches and they will never see or touch another one of my watches again.
Sorry, just had to rant and left it...

With big box stores, they always start with telling you about financing, want to know your credit score, etc...to me this is pushy and somewhat offensive. At Gabriels Iโve never been asked what my credit score is, or what I do for work. Show up in a suit or flip flops everyone is treated the same.
Your educated on diamonds, gold, silver, etc...as soon as you walk in, your education begins. The entire staff, is amazing, very nice, helpful, very friendly, very caring, genuine good people, not sure how one man put together a entire staff of amazing people, somehow Gabriel did.
It doesnโt matter if your spending $500 or $50,000, they spend time with you, never get pushy, and most importantly treat everyone the same.
If your uneducated in jewelery as I believe 99% of us are, you should make Gabriels your first stop, then go shop around, then youโll return and make your...

From the moment I walked into Gabriel Jewelers, I knew that this would be a lifetime relationship with Gabriel. Not only welcoming, and professional, but his creativity is beyond belief. We purchased our wedding rings from him, and have gone back to make several other purchases as well. We have referred all of our friends and family to him, and they are just as impressed with him as we are. After my Mother passed away, I took her bangle bracelets in to have them sized, so that I could wear them to keep her close, and Gabriel had the most special idea. He took some of the gold from her bracelets and created a wedding ring for my husband. I watch his interaction with his other customers, and he gives each and every person the feel that they are the most important person in the world. I highly recommend Gabriel Jewelers. We will continue to come to him...
