Ok. This is the place!!! Highly recommended for individuals, families, and all Greene lovers! Place is HUGE, and they have some of Deere's most amazing stuff. They had a full-size, $1.8M harvester on the showroom (I have no clue how they got something that big through the door). And tons of other equipment, too. When I visited a few days ago, they also had the "worlds most powerful tractor" on display as well. Most of the equipment you can sit in and dream of ownership. This place is SUPER kid friendly too! They have knowledgeable, kind, and friendly staff (of note, they will tell you prices, but you cannot purchase from this museum). If you bleed JD green or even if you just love tractors and equipment, this is an amazing and worthwhile stop. It super close to the freeway and you can choose your own pace (see everything, sit in everything, or just get some quick photos). There is ample parking, including disability spaces. Parking is free. The museum is free. Great family experience (who doesn't want to sit in a $500k wheel loader?). You can spend hours if you want to see, touch, sit and walk around everything. But if time is important you can see everything and sit and photo most things in less than 30 minutes. They also have neat restored old Johnney Poppers too. They also have an attached, company store with literally everything imaginable in John Deere green (and other colors) for gifts, yourself, kids, pets, farm animals (you name it they probably have it. Prices on some things are steep, but they have many items that are very reasonable (if not even cheap). They have all sorts of clothing, ball caps, toys and models, backpacks, suitcases (for all the new stuff you are buying), mens, women's, children, and every other thing you can imagine (like hydroflasks, dog leashes, jewelry, computer cases and sleeves, wallets, literally almost anything but food and it's all John Deere branded so SUPER cool!!! And the items they sell are absolutely TOP quality (got a sweatshirt that is so nice and thick)! This is a super fun, family oriented, and even toddler safe. 100% worth the tome to stop. Even if you don't need to harvest 300+ acres a day.

Museum 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Store 🌟 The museu part was fantastic. It was clean, informative, and fun. I really like all of the information they had everywhere. There where things to read and to watch. They have chairs where you can sit comfortably and watch the videos. The people are very knowledgeable and friendly. However the store was not as good an experance. The staff followed us around pointing and laughing at me. They never aproched us to see if we needed any help or asked questions. I had my therapy baby with me and they just pointed and laughed. Never even asked what she was or why I have her. It made me feel self-conscious. We got our things and left. We would have bought more but I was very uncomfortable.

Free but underwhelming. Few pieces of old equipment and a selection of newer equipment parked inside and outside that you can climb on and get in the cab. For the newer pieces of equipment, there isn't much done to educate its significance or features. None of the electronics are live so you just see blank screens. Little has been done for modern equipment besides it being parked here. Would have liked to tour any of the factories in the area, but all John Deere plants apparently stopped tours after COVID and only do tours for people that are invited by an equipment dealer.

An interesting place to walk around and see the wide range of things made then and now by the John Deere company. They have come a long way from a simple broke blacksmith striking out to make the money to start his life over again, and bring his family west. Displays cover progress of this blacksmith shop, plow design and manufacturing, and subsequent agriculture and construction equipment. Modern displays show robotic lawn mowers, walking timber harvesters, state-of-the-art combine, bigger than life earthmoving bulldozer, modern tier 4 diesel engines, ect. Jump in a simulator and try loading dirt in a dump truck using an excavator. Activities here for the young and old. There is a large gift shop next door. Outside on the sidewalk are more large examples of modern John Deere equipment. Plenty of free parking in the rear. No charge for admission. There are docents available if you have questions, but you are free to roam at your own speed and interest. Don't forget the John Deere headquarters is just down the street and is open to the public as well although they say they may be having events and you should be prepared to be good guests and share the space. The Rock River arsenal is also nearby and you can visit the museum but you can either needed a DOD ID card or have a background check to enter the facility. All in all a good way to spend a couple hours if you are traveling...

July 2013 we drove 6 hours just to visit the John Deere Pavilion and Headquarters, It was defiantely a trip of a life time to be honest. I cant brag enough about this place, we went on a weekend they had kid things to do out on the pavilion and that made it ten times more exiciting. Alot of the tractors and equipment you can get up in and just have a good time and best part it's FREE! However I did spend my money like crazy in the John Deere store it was just a perfect way to buy Christmas gifts for my son since we were there. He had a ball! When we walked in the main pavilion and then store my son looked up at me and asked if we were in John Deere Heaven! lol It was an amazing time, in a cute town. I will defiantely be back! Worth the...
