Went to Rascal Flatts / Chris Lane / Lauren Alaina 3/2025 and it was a good time - however I dont know if its that UPPER BOWL seating or what - but you could NOT hear Rascal Flatts for most of it.
Chris Lane and Lauren were painfully clear - but Rascal Flatts you just could not. And those UPPER BOWL seats are also very steep so if you have any fear of heights /kids or plan on being tipsy - watch out!
(Not Pro TIP) to get handshakes with artist - get the seats upper right on the floor or that rim between the floor and lower bowl - we had 2 of 3 artists walk that and handshake sing with crowd around that permitter. So something to think about. but they seem to favor the STAGE LEFT or Crowd RIGHT. They seem to backstage from STAGE LEFT...they always transitioned back to stage OUR RIGHT.
Also if you have sensitives to heavy bass / hearing / stress induced anxieties - id recommend ear plugs or reconsideration of going. It is NOT downmixed or leveled for country. It is set to rock roll / POP and its HEAVY. I love big beats and even i was like "holy smokes they got every inch of this place pounding." We were off to sides in upper bowl and it was seat/internal organ shaking. Its a concert right, but they spare no decibels. My son didnt come but he'd have asked for earplugs for sure.
(AFTER CONCERT) staff not helping flow of people at END of concert is inexcusable. You can tell if there was a security event or fire - it would be a death sentence. You had every single person going left and right coming out of stairs and crossing streams as - some people knew where stairs to parking lot versus east exit were - and people with NO CLUE like me - just frustrated trying to see signage.
It was like every horror film / crowd scene. I was not squashed scared - level - but I saw some limited mobility people and it was like "god help you". And first time I saw staff was at the stairs, elevator, escalators - but not one - at the exit of seating for UPPER BOWL.
There was even a guy in the crowd doing FINDING NEMO and yelling "JUST KEEP SWIMMING". No joke!
Asides: Recommend getting advance parking tickets otherwise there is some hotels nearby and they will sell private parking spaces for like a ten spot but you have to show up 3hrs early to snag them right next door. Their linked city parking site also has a parking guide that's pure BS from city of moline. Most said "not for event days" in person.
As for arrival time to get in the door we waited 1hr before showtime and it was zero line in the door. But 2hrs early there was a line a city block out. So just be patient - its NOT a big place, so just get within 1 block by 1 hr and you have MORE than enough time. Also there are escalators and elevators if you have limited mobility.
Other asides: Facility was clean, and they have an airport like system for metal detectors. My wife had a CLEAR purse that walmart sells and it's larger by 1inch and they let it through. No bag facility- per site.
Female bathrooms per wife were ample and they did have people helping in them during heavy traffic to keep stalls moving.
I heard prices were really high ($12 items) - lookout for double charges ask "price PER DRINK?!" and its a no cash place -/ no physical receipts - and WATER BOTTLES they sell they take away the caps so you cant sell them ?! so if you have like four in your hand for your family you are going to be covered in water from spillage by time you navigate back to your seat. So either pocket some caps from (water bottle brand ? - call them maybe theyd tell you?) or get creative bring water balloons to...
Read moreThe concerts are always good. There were 3 bands total tonight and the sound was great but each lead singer was hard to hear or understand...all three bands.
This center continues to make the place as hot and uncomfortable as they can get it off and on thru the event.
Wished they would control the HVAC better for our comfort with the HIGH HIGH price we pay for tickets AND now to mention the drinks and food... We even had to pay $15 3 blocks away in a bad parking lot...with my credit card.
Very unhappy that when we HAVE TO USE our credit card only to pay...and We have to do the check out ourselves.
You don't know what the cost or what you are paying for and not even any receipts. Can't wait to see my credit card bill to see what HUGE prices they charged for beer, pop, ice and so on. Just checked my credit card and I was charged for others drinks...I was charged over $100 in drinks for the two of us. I have no receipts and nothing to go back to them. B S
The kicker! We had to open any and all items right there at the time of purchase because of some stupid past event issue. Whoever is the manager or mangers...not impressed with this place these days.
The customer service and assistance at this center continues to go down hill every year. It is not about the customer it is all about them making tons of money in a short amount of time and to get us out of there.
Even when we checked in (like thet do in an airport) I felt overwhelmingly violated with the ransacked of my TINY purse. Very unnecessary.
The seats are all not the best after all these years too and sitting so long off n on.
As of today, I'm not sure I'll attend concerts here again. Until i hear the service and prices have improved. There are plenty other places to go these days.
I believe for THE LARGE amounts of money we had to pay for tickets and food and drinks. We deserve nicer, kinder, cooler, friendlier and better customer service. At all events.
The good ole days concerts and comorodery is becoming a thing of the past, sadly for greed and not all about the love of the music...
Read moreI visited the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, IL on March 13, 2018 to see Alice Cooper perform with mixed results.
We called the facility that day in the afternoon with a question about the time doors would open because it was a little chilly that March day and were told that the doors would be opened at 5:30. We arrived to the doors about 5:00 and began to wait. Security opened the door for a band member around 5:15 and told us that the doors would be open soon. As the crowd began to filter in security stood in the vestibule and watched... Until 6:20 when a member of security came out of to tell us the doors would be opened soon and then tell us what to expect when they did open. At 6:30 they were finally opened and despite being the first TWO in the door security acted like they were put out we were there..
Security and the time the doors opened aside, the TaxSlayer Center knows how to put on a concert! The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, in fact I don't remember a time where I saw staff so helpful assisting people to there seats. They were asking questions, keeping the aisles clear assured that every person there was having a good time.
The TaxSlayer Center is one of the best places within 150 miles of my home, and one of the best in the state. I do love the experiences I...
