UPDATE (May 15,2023): The server told us to sit on a small table because she said that it will be busy after 5pm. There was no one eating there at that time, around 4:30pm, but she insisted that we use a small table. We usually use a normal-sized one like for 4 persons since we usually order a lot of stuff and we need space for those orders but because of what she did, we didn’t even order anything extra. The food was good, as usual and this is why we ate here in the first place, but the experience was ruined. At our time eating there, no one else ate. We didn’t give a tip because of this and I was willing to let this go until the server went out when we got out of the restaurant and told me I didn’t give a tip. I said I didn’t and she said I’m supposed to give a tip, which I replied that I’m not required to. I was gonna explain to her about the table but I didn’t wanna argue with a yelling woman outside the restaurant so I didn’t bother. We’ve been eating here for more than 5 yrs. What is happening? Are these people being trained? What a disappointment. Hopefully this changes soon. We won’t be eating here for a while. ***** We’ve never been disappointed one bit in this place. Food is awesome, ambiance is great, and customer service is the best! Whatever we order here tastes good. It's a bit pricey but the food is really worth it. This is a place that you should visit whenever you go to the Quad Cities. And that pork street food in one of my photos is soooo good (that secret sauce is seriously delicious), I could eat that with a bowl of rice! 🤩 UPDATE: Even during the pandemic, this restaurant is still one of the best. I love those dividers! Everything is still 5 stars! Please put Ped Duck back in the menu! 🙏🏻 Oh and we tried the Lemongrass soup, holy cow, you can feel the spices going down your throat in a good way. Seriously, we’ve never been disappointed in anything we order from this place! 😂👍

So after two years of eating better Thai food from other places I decided to give this place another try. First experience here i asked for my meal Thai spicy. All they did was dump a bunch of pepper flakes on top of my food which made every bite crunchy. Should have kept the absence going. Service and communication was dismal at best. Had our menus nice and neat together at the edge of the table signaling we were ready to order. A good amount of time went by and mind you the place was close to empty at 5 15 pm, I made enough eye contact to signal someone over. We ordered our drinks and meal at the same time and I was asked if I wanted a fried egg on mine. I said yes because that is typically how that meal comes. Food came out quickly but without the egg so I mentioned it and she argued that I said no I didn't want the egg. I was backed up by my lovely girlfriend that I Indeed asked for the egg. So they go retrieve an overcooked rubber egg in a bowl and say here. Portions are so small and prices are too high for such. I got the gra pow and my girlfriend got some curry. The curry looked like a can of egg noodles with those Chinese looking dry crunchy noodles on top. What a joke. Will never return and advise you seek other Thai places that are kind and care about service and food. I didn't take a picture of mine but here's a look at a Chinese version of curry.

12/17/2021 update: sad to say this, but we won't be back here again. After driving 1.5 hours specifically to dine at this restaurant for a special occasion (explained this to them), we arrived at 140pm, but were told they were "closed" and would not serve our party of 2 adults and 2 children. Doors were open and signs said lunchtime closure was at 2pm, and there were at least 4 other tables actively dining. It sounds like 130pm is the actual closing time.... maybe? Not worth risking it though. Very unexpected and disappointing. Visited here from Peoria today in search of great Thai food: found it! Everything exceeded expectations! We started off with the Vietnamese Hand Rolls (summer rolls) and Shu Mai (steamed dumplings) then got some Dong Po Rou (braised and carmelized pork belly on rice with bok choy, kimchi and chili sauce...wow!) to share. I got a bowl of coconut soup (so good, I ate all of it, including mushrooms) and pumpkin curry while my wife got a really excellent Pad Thai. Gotta say, the Dong Po Rou was the family favorite, and my pumpkin curry was a close second. I would be poorer for sure if this place were any closer to home. Definitely recommend!

SHOCKING BUT TRUE!! Last night me and my wife went out for a quite dinner. When we were ready to pay the tab the manager/server comes with a printed bill showing how much I had to tip. I asked her why is she telling that and that I was tipping her 20% anyway. She literally meant to show either I don't understand math or sarcastically mocking at me for a poor tip I had made during my last visit. The server even remembered that I had tipped only $2 last time so she was making sure that does not happen. That took me by surprise which felt like she came with a vengeance this time and almost held us accountable to pay a good tip. Being a regular customer we have seen a decline in customer service since change in staff. Is this where Lemon Grass is heading - bullying customers? Is this the customer service you expect anywhere? In fact, Soy-2 had excellent service even though they were short staffed. THE PRVIOUS VISIT - Same thing, me and my wife went out for dinner about almost 2 months back. We ordered our regular 2 dishes. She mistakenly took 3 dishes and as she came back with the 3rd dish we told her that we never ordered this. She argued back that this was the order and rudely left it on our table. We ended up paying for it and felt she deserved nothing more than $2 as a tip. Am a generous tipper (20%) but only if I fell welcomed and the service is genuinely good. With that in mind this time she came at us showing how much she will add regardless of our wish as a tip. She even said she will herself add the tip. I was mad at this treatment. Maybe this was even bordering racism. I asked her why she is showing me this %ages and I didn't need math lessons. I said will pay what I want. She was adamant that I pay a good tip to which we said we will pay you NOTHING this time. Me and my wife felt insulted and walked away swearing to...

I've visited this place a total of three times before I decided to write a review because I was sure that my first experience eating here was only so great because of the circumstances. After two consecutive visits that were just as impressive, I've decided that this may be my favorite restaurant in the entire quad cities, and that's saying a lot considering how much I enjoy food. I haven't had many different curry in my lifetime but I grew up eating it and I'd have to say it was the best curry I've ever eaten. The ingredients are fresh and the effort they put into each dish shines through. The first two times I ate here was in the middle of the day so I was one of the few people in the restaurant. The service was great and friendly and helpful with my questions. The food came quickly and the soup I got beforehand was also very well done. I thought that the service was so good and quick because they were slow; however I visited today at prime lunch time and the cafe was packed with very few empty tables left, and the service was still just as good as the first time. I even got my lunch in a very reasonable amount of time and the dish I got tasted exactly as good as good as it did the first time. This place really is a great restaurant that not a lot of people know about and I will have to bring friends here I'm the future. They also have an interesting selection of alcoholic drinks and reasonable prices on a majority of their menu...
