Very ashamed of how I was treated today and after 30 years of going to AMC movies and being a stubs member I won't ever go back and spend a dime at your company. My wife and I were having dinner we had movie tickets for the evening decided that we were too tired to go so we went on the app to get a refund. Everything was fine until I noticed they only refunded me part of my money. So we stopped in to speak to the manager on duty some Mexican guy with glasses couldn't get his name and he was like oh yeah the convenience fee is not waived we only refund your tickets but not the convenience fee and I'm like wait a minute I don't get charged to convenience fee AMC premier member. So we checked and it turns out that my AMC premier expired but they have this new program it's called premier Go and it looks like you have premier and it's something they give to people that spend a lot of money there pretty much almost all the benefits of the premiere that you pay for but the convenience fee waived so I'm like this is ridiculous you make it look like I still have premier I buy the tickets I asked for a refund and I didn't see any movie literally there was only four people in the whole theater for that particular movie it's not like it was jam-packed and you're going to steal five bucks for me granted it's not a lot of money but it's the principle of the thing. AMC is struggling I'm a male who is in the key demographic of who is paying lots of money to go see movies still taking my kids and my wife buying popcorns concession stand items beyond that drinks and even cocktails sometimes so for five bucks because you guys want to be crooks because I didn't see any movie and you kept my money for no reason I will never be back. Even the managers like yeah I know it's misleading because the way it looks and they don't put it in big letters and it's like at the bottom of the page before you even purchase I get it. So I said then why don't you get creative and offer me just a free movie ticket or something and we'll call it a date you can obviously see all of the money I spend here you have a detailed account of every movie that I purchase and I said you want to lose me over five bucks go right ahead Harkins here I come it's the same amount of drive for me so now I'm over AMC you lost me over your stupid still a buck policy from your...
Read moreTLDR: First visit. I will return. There are many amenities I like and mostly enjoyed my experience, but I have some concerns.
This is a brand new multi-theater with all the best audio and video enhanced theaters (not all of them)--something that makes a difference to me--but expect to pay more for the privilege.
There's a lounge area including a nice outdoor balcony where you can eat or gather before/after your movie.
This is a dine-in theater so you can get a salad or burger besides popcorn or candy. With the app you can get it delivered to your seat. Keep in mind that this means people walking in during the movie.
There's also a bar (not open for the matinee).
I didn't eat/drink so I can't review the food, but the prices are high.
What concerns me are The seats are narrow and difficult to get in/out because of the small table attached. (see pictures) AMC points to these seats as adjustable but they're just ok. The Regal theater seats one exit away are more comfortable, adjustable, and wider (but without the high end audio/video)
It wasn't as clean as it should have been. AMC promotes the disinfecting and cleaning after each showing, but there were pieces of popcorn on a few seats and many of the attached tables were obviously unclean.
This was at a 2.30pm showing, not the end of the day which wouldn't matter anyway. I alerted a staff member who said she would send someone--no one came. I took a few clorox wipes they have at the doors and did it myself.
At the end of our movie, 4 people did come in to clean but it didn't look like they were as thorough as I hoped.
Masking isn't mandatory & close seating. Two very talkative guys sat next to us without masks. Someone eating at their seat won't be wearing a mask. And there's no distance between seats. Obviously the seating was planned pre COVID, but really?
Reserved seating means you can arrive just before the start, no longer having to wait in a long line for a popular movie, but don't expect to just walk up or find a seat on opening weekends because people have grabbed all the good seats via the app days/weeks in advance.
Restrooms are clean and spacious, but this wasn't a busy time....
Read moreMy first time at this location and I actually enjoyed my whole experience. Parking was easy, as this location is inside a mall.
No line to get in. Our tickets were purchased in advanced through the AMC app. The concession stand had a line, so we quickly opted for the bar.
Today they offered two signature cocktails. One was the Tea Rex and the other was Thunderstruck. We chose Thunderstruck which consisted of orange juice, strawberry punch, a shot of Makers Mark Whiskey, over ice and topped with Blue Moon beer for $14. This drink was actually tasty and satisfied a quench on a hot day. Or choose from their signature cocktail menu of Boozy Lemonades or Top Shelf Tequila drinks.
The main lobby consists of the concession stand, the bar, and rather large seating area with a TV, restrooms and a large glass window with a fantastic view of the freeway and city.
The theater had comfy, reclining seats with a moveable food tray and drink holder. The trays were not wiped down and sticky. (My only complaint). The trays also might be cumbersome to some patrons as their flexibility in moving around is limited. The sound was right on and the crisp image on screen got you in the mood to delve 100% into your movie.
The theater offers several restrooms, which were clean and stocked of supplies.
The employees were friendly and helpful. I made mention how the drinks when the bartender was making them had too much ice. He immediately removed some ice to an accommodating level without discussion.
I actually can't wait to see another movie here!
Four Stars due to the less than clean table tops in the theater (bring your own wipies) and I am not apt to give five stars to a place on...
