Honestly, this was such a disappointing place. I read so many good reviews but was completely let down. Itâs a small place where they crammed a bunch of tables. Our server was a nice man, you could tell he was overworked and overwhelmed but he was still kind. Our food was not that great. Aside from the rice, everything lacked flavor. We got quesabirrias and they were soooooo bland. The consome was completely watered down and not thick or flavorful. And what was really upsetting and made me never want to come back was the fact that my 6 year old son order birria ramen and upon receiving it, it was inside a Tapatio Ramen cup. Nowhere on the menu did it say it would be in that type of ramen cup flavor. (Iâve been to other birria places and gotten birria ramen but itâs never been a tapatio flavor) so i kindly asked our server if we could switch it out because we were unaware that it would be spicy for my 6 year old. He was kind about it and said he would ask but wasnât sure it would be ok. I told him thatâs fine but either way i would just like to order 3 plain asada tacos then. When he took my sonâs ramen back, he explained to the other server (an older guy with glasses) the situation and asked for our tacos instead. The guy with the glasses began making comments and questioning whether the ramen was even spicy. He didnât believe my son and asked the cooks if they added extra salsa and the cook was like âno but the noodles are spicy because itâs the tapatio flavor. It says it right there on the bowlâ and the guy just rolled his eyes annoyed at the fact that we didnât want it and said âitâs not even spicy.â Like who the hell is he to question how my 6 year old can handle spicy food? If we didnât want the item and were ok with just ordering another item (and still paying for the ramen if they couldnât switch it out), why did he have to be rude about it? It took everything for my husband and i not to talk shit back to him because we didnât want my son to feel bad. I donât remember our servers name but he was able to get the ramen order off our tab and was super nice about it. The guy with glasses needs...
Read moreThey got the whole order wrong except for 1 plate. I had asked for onions and cilantro on everything in the side we did not get the side. On my Birria Torta I had made special customs and paid for that too. In this order we asked for one half of the torta to have habanero and jalapeño and for both halves to not have tomato. Both halves of the Torta had tomato and the half we requested to have habanero and jalapeño on didnât have them. When we called to asked the order to be redone they told us to come pick up the cilantro and onions. We told them why go pick it up if our food will be cold by then and we want the order to be redone properly with the cilantro and onions on the side, no tomato, no guacamole. When we were on call with the manager she was being rude and disrespectful then said she doesnât see what we see on our recipt yet theyâre supposed to get an exact duplicate of ours to make the order. In other words the manager tried making us look like idiots even tho she was wrong. To make things worse the birria doesnât taste like birria it taste like shredded beef with the tortilla covered in birria grease only on...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I have been wanting to come here for a long time. I sometimes have a tendency to over-hype places in my mind, and I definitely did that with this place. Sad to say it was a disappointment. Ordered queso birria tacos with consomme and a al pastor torta. Needless to say, the food was underwhelming and lacked any flavor close to what I know of birria. The tacos were light red in color and didn't have the distinct red coloring I know of these types of tacos. The consomme, tasted watered down and I feel was missing key ingredients as to what makes birria. I prolly won't come back but hopefully they take, not only mine but also other reviews, serious. Probably the best thing they had was the salsa for the chips! đ Hopefully you have better luck than I had. It's a crying shame when you have the platform to share your love of food and completely lose sight of what it's all about, it's feeding the belly along...
