FOOD: we were very disappointed to visit this location only to find out that the portions have been cut back. I came here with my mother-in-law and my wife and we ordered three Ramen and chicken and all the Ramen was served with half pieces of pork instead of full slices and there was a lot less ingredients than usual. The chicken was really good though.
FACILITY: The paint on the walls is peeling where are you sit, so it’s a huge eye sore! There is also no more ice or soda machines, instead they serve you water at room temperature and what seems to be a very cheap plastic pitcher from the 99cent store. I was very frustrated because when I got up to grab a soda, the fridge was locked as if it were Walmart.
STAFF: As for the staff we had very little communication other than taking our order, she spent the rest of her time talking to the cooks and did not refill our water pitcher or visited our table once. It also seems like they introduced a robot to serve your food which kind of eliminates a servers job; however, I was still asked to leave a tip after every transaction which is very dumb considering the robot did all the work. Really?????
Unfortunately I have complained about this place several times and I am actually going to permanently illuminate this from one of my Ramen choices. I will not be returning due to the quality of the food the lack of maintenance in the facility and the overall experience I’ve had with them.
You can definitely find other Ramen places with more bang for your buck. It seems like the owner has cut back on costs but it seems like he’s cutting back on the...
Read moreWe came to this location because it was closer to our house, but was worried because it isn't our usual location, which is the San Dimas location. After this experience, I won't return unfortunately. When we walked in, it was nice and clean and completely empty, which is fine, but we were the only people the entire time we spent here. Both my husband and myself were convinced that we would not return, from ordering the food. The cashier was unfriendly, uninviting and we felt like we annoyed him by coming into this establishment. One way to run away customers is bad service and it wasn't friendly. I can't say rude, but uninviting it what my husband stated. He ordered the tori (chicken or bird in Japanese ) and I ordered the Tonyu (vegan ) ramen and the vegan gyoza. The food was great, except in mine, I had a few issues that made me feel worried about my bowl. First off, I am a vegan for many reasons and one of those is, allergies to animal foods and products.. I could potentially end up in an ER if I consume the wrong thing. There were two hard pieces of what looked like meat in my bowl 😱 I immediately removed it and made me scared to continue to eat after that. Also, my noodles were stuck together, and not fully cooked, and my brussle Sprouts were mostly uncooked as well. We hurried up and left, when we left, we usually say "Bye" and thank everyone for the meal, and when we did this, one ignored us, the woman said "what?!" And the other just walked away. So, it was official, we...
Read moreIt's OK. Only been there twice. 2nd time was just friends wanting to meet up, and we got no idea of where to eat that isn't far. Didn't really improve much from years ago
All I can say is that it's not really up to its values and seems to be a fast-food type of ramen. The only value there is just broth. Designed to where you have to spend at least $20 a person.
Lacked various toppings, half of egg, too many of green onion TOO many considering they only have 2 topping... chop like it belongs to fried rices. Not even black garlic oil included on Kotsu Deluxe. You have to order a lot of the missing necessary topping to make good ramen, not even seaweed. Oil itself wasn't even fully darken black garlic. They should really rename that to just garlic oil. Want to make your ramen spicy? No spicy level option or even possible to ask them for a tiny bit of spicy paste. You have to get up and order that, too, that you'll likely not be using all of it if you just want mild. Using all plastic spoon, probably didn't wanna hire dishwasher.
Robot is just a distraction, with just 1 job to woo the customers. Only the staff can control them, unlike Kura Revolving Sushi, where you can summon for drinks. This only adds more room for the waitress to slack off when tips are already paid upfront or not need to put extra effort into their charisma...
