I had brought my lens due to my auto focus not working the owner told me it was a 2 day turn around . After looking at my lens he said he needed another week, i told him no worries. He originally told me $200 to repair. After a week i had called to check on the status, he told me he needed more time. For the price he had given i was willing to wait. After another week he stopped taking my calls, i had called 15x before he had answered. when he did he explained he could not fix it but he had the same lens he could sale me for $1000. The way he had explained it was the lens i had brought was not able to be fixed with out spending $2K. So i agreed to pay the $1000 for his lens. 3 months later the ring popped off while connected to my camera. When i brought it to my new repair shop in upland, he had shown me how the last shop used short thin screws and they had completely stripped the threads and thats why it had popped off so easily. Save your money and look else where for your camera or lens repair needs. Love supporting small businesses and i hate that i feel SCAMMED...

Phong is the best! I have been going to him for the past couple of years after getting into film photography. I'm a klutz and constantly have issues with my camera, so I'm fortunate to have a place that's as knowledgeable and helpful as Canada Camera.

Phong has assisted me with several 35mm point-and-shoot and SLR cameras. If he doesn't want to or can't fix a camera, he will tell you upfront. He is a nice guy with a great sense of humor but will give you the facts straight. If fixing a camera will cost more than replacing it, he will let you know. He is a busy guy with a lot of work, so he isn't always able to answer the phone, which is understandable.

MR. PHONG, PLEASE STOP IGNORING JOAQUIN’S PHONE CALLS I had shipped him some camera gear early this year for repair. It took several months to get it back but the work was good and fairly priced. Since I don’t mind waiting for good, fair-priced work, I sent him over a dozen film cameras for repair 2 months ago. Over $1,500 worth of cameras as-is. There was good communication at first, and now he has been ignoring my calls for a month. I even called the business next door to ask if the store closed down or if he was sick but they said the store was still opening and running. PLEASE ANSWER MY CALLS AND SEND MY CAMERAS BACK!
