Disappointing Experience with Geek Squad at Best Buy
I booked a service appointment through Apple Support to have my phone glass repaired at the nearest Geek Squad location, with the first available time being 5:20 PM today. I showed up on time, only to be told by the staff that they could not service my phone because they were “super busy.” This was extremely frustrating, especially since the appointment slot was available and booked in advance.
When I asked why they offered the slot if they couldn’t honor it, I received no clear answer. The representative, Francine, who claimed to be a supervisor, was unhelpful and just repeatedly suggested that I come back tomorrow. I explained that I had driven 30 minutes to get there and that this was not a feasible solution for me, yet she showed no willingness to offer any alternative or assistance.
I find it unacceptable that a service as reputable as Geek Squad could not manage its bookings properly or provide an effective solution when a mistake is clearly on their end. The entire experience was shady to say the least Jocelyn the Geek squad specializes said my laptop needed to be sent out for repair because they don't repair those device's there. But stated to speed up the process the computer could be diagnose for $100 charge. I rufused to pay extra since my insurance covered repairs. She continued the process to check in my device. In the product information she stated my laptop had minor scratches and scuffs. I sign off on the description since it was minor and caused by normal used.
