Sunset Recycling Center — Attraction in Montebello

I was at the Sunset Recycling center today to recycle my cans and plastics bottles. I waited in line and when it was my turn to place my recyclables on the weighing machine like I done before. The man who was working there today taking in the recyclables told me that I had to separate my 3 milk containers onto another orange basket that they have there for there customers to separate there recyclables in. So I left my cans there with the man who was working there on the side, so that I could separate the 3 milk cartoons into a orange basket. when I got back to the man, he said he didn't know what happened to my cans I left there with him for safe keeping. I am positive he stole my cans I brought in today, and put them somewhere to hid them from me. When I asked him again what happen to my cans that I brought in and left there with him. He gives me look like he never saw them or me. I asked him again where are my cans, and he says he doesn't know. He knows because he stole them from me. I ALWAYS COME AND NEVER HAVE A PROMBLEM WITH THIS PLACE. BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS. I hope the owner of this facility reads my review and has a meeting with his employees about his business practices and retrains his workers so that this never happens again to anyone. It really bothers me to know there are so many dishonest business who hire dishonest workers who would do that to there customers. I would not come back here again, and never come back with my students who I bring here to recycle our perishables here all the time. I would not recommend this place. This review is for the angry agitated buff guy. I look on their website and it says it closes at 5:00 P.M. I arrive at 4:30 P.M and I see another customer so I'm thinking I'm good. When I arrive the angry buff guys gives me an attitude and says were close but he sees I have 5 bags of plastic bottles he changes his mind and gives me a lecture on why I don't come earlier when I have the whole day and the money is coming out of his own pocket. Lol. 5 mins later I'm finished while the other customer is still doing his thing. I normally don't write reviews unless its special like this individual who will likely help his owners loose money by pushing his customers to other recycling centers like myself. The last time I was there I see the same agitated buff guy give another customer attitude I thought it was a one time thing or the customer pissed him off. This is the best part. When he gives me the money his line is "Take the money and go!" With attitude. Lol. This guy is rare...

For me when a business has posted business hours they should uphold to those stated business hours. Sunset recycling 👎 does not honor their own business hours. We arrived 6 mins before closing. We had 4 1/2 bags with us. All they had to do was weigh and pay. By the time they were done arguing with us and finished smoking their cigarettes we would've been long gone. They cost themselves more time, loss out and some money and a customer as well. If your a business owner you really want to accommodate to your customers. It's just good business.
