I am only giving a 4 instead of a 5 because the item I went to get was not as described. However the store associate I had the pleasure of working with was exceptional. Her name is Cara, she went above and beyond in her service today. I got a Jeep Wrangler Stroller Wagon from a listing on FB marketplace. She opened the box for me and went through to make sure all the pieces were there. Unfortunately the canopy wasn’t in the box and it wasn’t new like the description said. The tires had wear and tear on them and there were a lot of scrapes and scratches on the metal as well as sand in the tires. But for the deal I was able to get it didn’t quite matter cause you wouldn’t be able to find anything close to the price I was given. Cara put everything back into the box for me and helped me load it into my jeep. Unfortunately she had to deal with some pretty upset customers who came in after myself looking to purchase the wagon as well. The timing on my part couldn’t have been better. She was professional the whole time she was interacting with the customers. And was doing her best to try and find a solution to make everyone else happy. Even tho the one man kept yelling and was cursing at her. (If he leaves a bad review for today I hope karma gets him, cause it wasn’t her fault and you get what you give for treating others poorly. Even tho he was understandably upset.) I hope the rest of her day goes smoother than this morning and she has a great week cause she is an...
Read moreThis place has a lot of stuff at good prices but you need to choose your items wisely. Some of the food items might be expired so check them carefully. I got a bunch of stuff for my new house and most things were good but I had the following issues:
the microwave I got was totally destroyed, despite the box appearing to have never been opened and all the styrofoam and tape being perfectly intact there was a dent in the crock pot which also appeared to have never been opened, with all styrofoam and tape intact the filing cabinet had a dent and large scratches
They don't accept returns so make sure you open things up and inspect everything carefully before you buy it. It may seem safer to get something that looks like it's never been opened, but in my case, if the boxes had already been opened I would've been more likely to see the damage before buying. Live and learn! These are risks you should know you're taking when buying discounted/salvaged items. Just make sure you do your research, check for damage, check expiration dates, and make sure none of the products were recalled for mechanical issues etc.
SIDE NOTE I got trail mix for $2 that was AMAZING!!! I went back a few days later to buy up the rest of the stock but it...
Read moreWe checked out this store yesterday because of the name “half off” store. As soon as we walked thru a couple aisles And noticed a lot of target stock, even had clearance stickers still on the items. Or they have salvage stickers (meaning the original store couldn’t sell the item anymore due defect or return). Which is fine, but assuming a “half off” store the items wouldn’t be priced more than what target had them for, it would be assumed whatever the clearance price still stuck on them was would be half off. Turn 7 has the same business model buying bulk from stores pallet of returns/salvage/overstock, which is why they have $1,$5,$10,$20 etc pricing gauge with actual deals of 50%+ off, but the difference is this “half off store” store thinks they can charge almost retail. I certainly wouldn’t be buying TV with salvage stickers, damaged boxes or missing remotes with postit notes “works” written on them taking their word for more then what they can be bought new with a warranty from manufacturer/store to risk it here for a potentially damaged tv at final sale. So buyer beware when...
