I didnt even get in through the fenced in area before there was a dog getting at my dog. About 7 dogs were waiting to greet mine and as soon as I opened the gate a stocky pitbull pushed its way in and went after my dog. ( my dog was still leashed) and that caused all the other dogs to run in. I was afraid it would turn on me so I yelled at it. My dog froze and didn't respond. Luckily I dont have an aggressive dog or else that could have ended really bad for many of the dogs involved. My dog was shaken and I called for help to get the dog off mine and help to get the other dogs out of the fenced in area and noone moved from their seats. They all watched. One guy did get up to help out but it wasn't the pitbull's owner. I realize this can happen with dogs but if your dog has known aggression you shouldn't be taking your dog to the dog park. He needs to be properly trained. I won't be going back to this place. The owners are arrogant and unhelpful. They should be responsible for watching their dogs behavior and helping out if their dog is causing problems or leaving the park so the other dogs can socialize. Luckily my dog didn't get hurt and the skin wasn't punctured. Dog owners need to be more...
Read moreWhen we first got there, there weren’t any dogs but slowly a few came in and it was fun. Clearly it became a mom clique with their human kids and the group claiming a table. More and more owners arrived with their dogs but most did not have their dogs back away from the gate so I saw several dogs get out and make it dangerous and difficult for the next owner and their pup to enter. We will not be going back there after school hours or perhaps ever again-we don’t have to time to waste to feel unwelcome by a “mommy and me” clique who must frequent it. One time there was a parent and a child who were responsible and there was no one else there so I suggest you either go during the day or get ready to be an outsider and hope your dog doesn’t get over excited or nervous by a running human child. Park itself is a decent size, wood chipped, water bowls but bring your own water, and many toys. One to two benches...
Read moreWe went to Knapp Road Bark Park but it was temporarily closed and there was a sign to go to this bark park instead. We used Google Maps to find this bark park and it was the hardest thing to find. It led us to some business parking lot and eventually read reviews on here for guidance. Recommend putting in KoKo or Santander Bank that’s right next to Assi Plaza then driving all the way back to the last parking lot. You should be able to see the bark park entrance once there. There’s two sections separated by large and small dogs. The grass surrounding the areas aren’t maintained well but once inside the park, it’s fine. My pup went into the small area and no one was there which we liked since the big area had a couple of big dogs which the parents weren’t really paying attention to. Definitely prefer Knapp Road bark park better but not bad to come here while it’s...
