The interior is sleek and modern only to discover there is nothing in the interior to absorb sound. The space has the decibel level of a rock concert. We were hoping to have a relaxing dining experience. We asked our server for two checks, the first check for two guests and the second check for three guests. They could not figure out how to give us to 2 separate checks. We only received one check in the end. We were given three menus for five people. We asked for additional menus and were given one drink menu. I finally got up and retrieved two menus off another table. When we arrived there were six or seven little dishes surrounding a hibachi. We had no idea what these items were as we tasted them and couldn't get an explanation of what they were. Only that we could get more if we wanted. My husband asked for the drink a Manhattan and was brought a shot of whiskey in a glass. We sent it back and finally got the cocktail asked for. We asked for extra napkins with our dinner and received several cocktail napkins. We ordered appetizers and entrees. One would expect the appetizers to be served first followed by entrees. No all of our food came at once. By the time we finished our appetizers the entrees we're cold. This joint is not ready for primetime at ALL. The staff is not trained to give professional service. I expect professional service when our tab $250. The food was just good/okay since the entrees were cold. Our group knows what good food is and how it should be served. We have eaten and enjoyed Korean food in the past at the same location. Shame on you restaurant owner, not giving your staff the tools/training to do their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAll of the side dishes were great. We were happy with our food (kalbi dolsot bibimbap and seafood soondubu). There was an abundance of wait staff, probably more staff than customers. Maybe it was just odd timing on our part or they were preparing for a party but it was a bit odd. In any case, service was prompt and courteous. We didn't try their barbeque as the prices are a bit high without any indicator on portioning but the kalbi on my entree was decent. Not the best I've ever had but still tasty. Maybe next time I go I'll bring more people and we'll try the group platter deals. (it's like $200 for 3-4 people)
Update 2025: I came back for the BBQ and again they were very well staffed, and all their staff were friendly. We ordered the LA Kalbi, bulgogi, and rose dukboki with cheese. I've never had rose dukboki and it turns out I don't really like it but that's not their fault. It was still made well, although I wish it came with egg. I'd get the spicy one next time. The meats were excellent, and they cook it for you. I'd prefer to cook it myself since that's the whole point of the grill being at the customer's table but I understand that's not for everyone and a lot of KBBQ places I've been to recently have started doing the cooking - maybe a lot of people don't know how to cook anymore. Anyway, loved it, had a great time, and will definitely be back. Updated to 5 stars. The only other KBBQ in the area I like is Kims and that's all the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHeard so much good reviews and finally got to go last week to celebrate my birthday with my family. There were 6 of us we decided to opt for the $350 meal which comes with a few cuts of beef, pork shrimp, octopus, lobster and scallops.
The meal came with complimentary side dishes and a steamed egg. I loved the steam egg so much we decided to order additional one for $6. The wagyu was American wagyu which wasnāt bad. The galbi beef was good. They had a marinated one and non-marinated. We got one of each to try. I think I prefer the non marinated one as the marinated was a bit too sweet for my taste buds. Other cuts of meats were good but I think when it go back next time we would do the $200 combo instead of the $350. I donāt think the extra piece of lobster tail and 6 scallops are worth the extra cost. It was quite a bit of food we even got some to go.
The service was just ok as our server forgot to give us the sauces/dips/condiments for the cuts of meat until we use what was the ginger and wasabi on the meat tray for after we already ate the meats then he told us he forgot to give to us. Then I think he got tired of cooking for us on the grill instead he told us he taking 2 of the meats the octopus and pork belly to the back to cook it and will bring it back out after itās done.
If Iām around the area next time I would return otherwise I donāt think I would go out of my...
