I agree with most everyone, this is definitely a great fairly new (more local than Philly) Boba/Tea lounge. With friendly staff.
Two negatives for me is the wait and how much sitting area there is. I do understand that there are SO many drinks to choose from. Kinda wish there was someway to try it or have help picking a drink or an Express line. I like trying new drinks like the next guy but at about $5 a pop it can be a tad expensive to waste. As for the lounge, maybe they can offer seating outside. Not sure if the plaza/mall owner would allow it but would definitely be better.
The place is clean and the clientele who frequent this establishment are usually under 30s in my opinion (more 20s or less). But that should not stop you from dropping by and trying it out.
My suggestions would be an online way to purchase your product. They do offer a menu of sorts on the website if you want to check before you visit. As for the free Wi-Fi, I personally think it would be better to have an open or passworded network that doesn't track you. If I remember correctly the network they have may actually track you. Always nice to have a VPN when using a strange network as well.
All in all a decent place, I plan on bringing my friends and family here. They need to be exposed to this and stop going to Starbucks as often. Recently more people are boycotting Starbucks, just check Twitter.
Also I noticed that the owner no longer checks his/her reviews on Google. Shame, I have high respect for an actual owner who cares about the comments made and who knows maybe even takes suggestions for the business. More so, when they respond to...
Read moreWent here yesterday, got a thai tea for me and my girl respectively. Before ordering, we asked "is there dairy in these" because we're vegan, and we're still figuring out where we can and can't go for food. This little girl, said "yes all our teas are dairy free." Great. Let's order, except someone else made the tea after the order and I watched as he used half and half to make them. This is a problem with a lot of places, hiring kids that have no training in common courtesy, no agency, and no sense of responsibility to their customers. What if I was allergic? Long story short, we threw the 10$ worth of tea away as soon as we left the lounge, instead of dealing with a child that already proved that she takes no pride in her job.
Called another teapioca, asked about how their Thai teas are made, he confirmed half and half is STANDARD in all Thai teas, but can be substituted with a soy alternative. Half and half as the standard is not "all our teas are dairy free". What should've been conveyed to us is that half and half is standard but one could also substitute soy milk.
RESPONSE EDIT: we thank you for your sense of duty to your customers, maybe it was just a misunderstanding on our part. We will take you up on that next time we're in the area, because we are definitely in love with Thai tea, just haven't had it since turning vegan....
Read moreUnfortunately I have to write this review given how much I love the drinks here. I have patronized this business for over three year and drive a distance just to come. Today I went in to get the same beverage I always get every time I come a butterfly lemonade with mango added. The associate told me they were not able to make it for me and she asked the manager. I asked to speak with the manager because it was shocking to me that all of a sudden I couldn’t get the drink. In the end the manager said that they could make the drink and proceeded to talk about me and mock me to the other associates while I was right there as if I couldn’t hear it. It was extremely rude and unprofessional as a manager. Had I not already paid for the drink I would have left. Unfortunately this experience will cause me to not come back. The associates were nice and extremely professional but the manager(female) will be the reason I do...
