When speakers started to go out in my '03 4Runner, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I went to Jimmy's but they acted like I was bothering them with the questions I had, so decided to check out CKR. My experience there couldn't have been better. The salesperson that helped me was Colin. He's a really nice guy and took time to walk me around the store and explain what different options I had and to point out the products he recommended. I even saw him the day after I went in while we both happened to be paddling the Coosa in Wetumpka. He was with his fiancee, and they're a very nice young couple. The manager, Nick, has been in car audio for 30 years, and he was available for Colin to bounce ideas off of so we could really pinpoint what equipment would give me the sound I was looking for at the price point I was looking for. I didn't get my installer's name, but he did a great job, too. He was even kind enough to come out to my car and show me how to dial my sound back in after I accidentally reset my head unit to the factory settings.
The only negative part of my experience was another salesman (Connor or Conrad or something like that) angrily punching away on an adding machine right in front of me and then insinuating that Colin should be charging me more. I'd watch out for that guy, if I were you. He seems to put short term profits and his own commissions ahead of the customer's needs and the store's opportunities to earn repeat business.

Read moreThe only reason I gave one star is because that's the lowest you can give. This is the worst place I have ever taken my car for audio work. To start, when I got there to drop my car off a guy called me outside to let me know that he was there for the third time because the sound kept going out after they worked on his car. I continued to let them work on my car and they kept it for two days. I already had the subs in the box along with the amp so I shouldn't have had to go two whole days without my car. When I finally get the car back they hooked everything up but didn't install a bass knob like I requested but I didn't worry I just was glad to have the car back. The subs quit playing after two days. I didn't trust them to even fix my car at that point so I took my car to a place I usually go to and had them fix it and they took pictures and showed me all the things wrong. CKR took bolts out of my trunk and didn't replace them so the paneling in my trunk was hanging, they didn't tighten down the wires to my batteries so they came off, they cracked the inside lining of my car, and they took all the fuses out of my car and only left one which could have caused my car to catch fire if that one fuse had went out. Thank God I had enough sense to get the car to a shop as soon as I could. Read moreI purchased a 2008 Suburban on a Thursday the next day I went into CKR in Montgomery and spoke with a very good and knowledgeable sales rep. He steered me to a system that would meet my expectations and set up install on Monday.I left the Suburban with them, Andy the installer had it ready and showed me how all the features worked. Driving around the next day I noticed that the local radio stations faded out . I took it back and explained the problem to the owner who listen to my concerns and assured me that they would get to the bottom of the problem. We made an appointment for me to bring it back so they told address the issue. They worked on the problem,found that the power antenna had been disconnected fixed that and when I came back to get the car the system worked far better than I ever expected! I am very happy with my purchase and even happier with the positive and pleasant way they all handled the situation.
