Although Fernland Historical Park is sitting on land that is donated, and preserved by the historical society, Fernland Historical Park contains homes that are restored by Mr. And Mrs. Carroll Tharp, to be located and displayed for all to visit, in Fernland Historical Park. The lodge was removed , peg by peg, from its location prior to the lake being filled, in order to preserve its historic relevance, by Sam Houston State University Architectect, Thorp (from historic records). Read moreFirst time visiting this park. I recommend coming here so you can learn about the history of Texas. This park is located in the city of Montgomery, which was founded in 1837. In addition, one can visit the antique shops, especially the store Texas & Beyond, located on Liberty Street. The entrance to visit the antique houses 🏘 is free and it closes at 3pm. I will come back on Dec 9, where there will be lots of crafts, parades, and activities for the whole family. Is from 9 to 7 pm. The candlelight tour is at 7 pm from 4 to 7.
