I really wanted to like this place. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews. I decided to give it a try today to support local business and I was very disappointed. I ordered two of the specials at $9.99 each. They asked if I was okay with sourdough buns. I said yes. I also orders a side of chili cheese fries. I couldn’t really see a price on the menu so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I picked it up I was a little taken aback by the price being over $30. I asked about it. They explained the specials were $9.99 I did a replacement of onion rings which was $0.99 and the special buns that were $1.00 each. I was not aware I was getting special buns they should tell you it cost extra when asking. They didn’t explain the rest of the charges so I figured after text that makes the chili cheese fries about $6-7 to add up to the total. I figured at that price they were probably good. Then I got home. First the chili cheese fries were a handful if that of fries with canned chili and fake cheese. The onions rings were big but they were cold and hard and I couldn’t chew them. They seemed old. The burger was so small you could barely tell it was there on the fancy bun and it just didn’t have any flavor. Nor did the toppings that were scarce with no flavor. I really wanted to like this place given that it has 4.5 stars. We stopped here on our way back home from Lake Conroe. First, when you walk in you are immediately overwhelmed by the smell of old grease. Next, when you get to the counter, the view of the dirty cooking area is an immediate turn off, cakes on grease all over walls, floors and grill. We still decided we would proceed with our orders. The service was mediocre at best from the cashier taking our order. We ordered - BLT with tots, 2 orders of chicken tenders w fries, 3 burgers with 1 with tots and 2 with fries and an order or steak fingers. All fried food tastes like it has been fried on old grease - can't really complain when we knew walking in that was a possibility. Burgers tasted like the dirty grill and leaked black "juice" from them from the dirty grill, again we can't complain since we saw the grill when ordering. The coke machine area is so dirty, the fans that are blowing inside the place are the filthy and haven't been cleaned. I always want to support small local businesses but I will not be coming back here. A deep clean, new grease and some pleasant folks at the register would help the place greatly, it has a lot...

I stopped in for a Thursday lunch with my husband and little one. I had the #3, my husband the California Burger and my son got the grilled cheese lunch bag. The restaurant was clean, it definitely has the feel of a well established off the main mom and pop stop. They have been open since 1997. My burger was great as was my husbands. The burger buns were thick and hearty. We really enjoyed them. My son loved the cheese sandwich. An older man came out to bring us our food and check on if it was prepared well. It was of course. He saw me dusting off our sons sandwich (He is 5 and poured salt on it before we could grab it.) and he asked if it needed to be remade, he sent out a woman to ask as well.(Perhaps they are a couple.) It was fine of course, nothing we could not simply wipe off but we appreciated how attentive they were and how quickly they offered to remake it. We enjoyed our meals and the phenomenal service.
