Went here tonight for dinner. Our kitchen had some water damage, and is completely unusable right now, & we just wanted to eat at a real table, & not in the car or balancing the food in our laps on the sofa. The waiter spilled my daughter Elizabeth's root beer ALL over her when he was bringing our drinks. The rest of the drinks, he spilled on the floor. Service was also really slow, but it was busy. As busy as it can be, anyway, only being able to operate at 25% capacity. For some reason, my other daughter suddenly got an upset stomach after drinking her tea, but that's probably not the restaurant's fault. Sometimes I get a stomach ache after having coffee or tea on an empty stomach, too. But also, the waitress that was refilling the drinks only had her mouth covered, not her nose. The thing that really surprised me was that they didn't even give us a discount because of soaking my daughter in root beer. Also, my fried shrimp was overcooked. I never don't tip. I was even going to still tip this time, because, accidents happen, but since they did nothing to make it right besides verbally apologize, I didn't tip, & decided to leave this review. We went to a different restaurant for breakfast, & even though I am financially hurting right now, because I am a hairdresser, and not able to work, I tipped 20$for breakfast at the other restaurant, because I know the restaurant workers are hurting too. I would have tipped as big as I was able tonight, too, had the whole experience not been so dissapointing. I do want to say, however, that we took advantage of thier family fajita to go meal deal a couple of times this past week, and we loved it.
E.T.A; I accidentally left my credit card there, and I was able to get it back from them today. So I am updating my review to reflect the honesty and integrity...
Read moreThe food the best of Navasota's 3 other restaurants. None good in Navasota, so this was a great treat. Even though it is officially in Montgomery. The waiter was exceptional. The other staff very friendly. I would give them a "10" instead of 5. And they went above and beyond serving a bean on a chip with a white cheese sauce. We could make a meal of this alone if on the menu.
One small suggestion about the ment, to put the corresponding item name and number to the pictures. Lots of pictures but don't know what it is. And we don't want to tie up waiter with 100 questions only to still need time to decide what to order off the menu. So we didn't ask. I got 3 beef enchiladas and they were not too tasty, too thin inside like pencils, no cut onions or vegetables inside to bulk them up. Meat tasted bad. But saving grace was the "sauce" they put on outside. Should put much more to swallow bitter and dry taste. My husband lived Fajita Burrito and said it also needed more sauce, but was so delicious he at the entire thing. And that was a lot. Rice has small vegetables cut into it and the best ever. And a side of refried beans. Really good. Sweet tea good. The salsa a bit watered down, but the green sauce to the rescue. But the chips were so hard and stale, not salty, we ended up not eating salsa and green sauce.
We tipped waiter in cash as we always do. He thanked us, saying the company pulls eages out of the tip if put on our credit card. That's good to know, but we always tip in person in cash so waiters don't have to wait, and we know it went to right person.
Booth seat broken punching my husband in the back. So he sat with me on other side. A few little things, but worth the expense if they work on...
Read moreAfter a Dr appointment I wanted to take my wife to a late lunch, we arrived 10 before 3, looked at menu and decided on two lunch specials right away, even told waiter we're here before 3pm and he said yes. Now I know it's only a few bucks but it's the point. We were brought our chips and salsa and only had water to drink. Food order was taken and the wait time was unbelievable, when the food did arrive the tacos were soggy, the enchiladas were burnt on the top probably because they had to be re heated. Anyway we ate what we could left the rest and when the waiter asked how everything was I said it was fine even though it was bad. After getting the check I noticed we were charged full price for the meals. Normally I would just pay it but this time I said something. The manager brought me the ticket and said my order was not turned in until 3:04. I'm not kidding, 4 minutes. I told her I even brought to the waiters attention it was within time for the lunch menu and he agreed. The manager said the computer sets the price and she can't do anything about it. I calmly said ok, she walked away and so I tipped the waiter 20% for his mediocre service and will never go back again. But the worst part was being seated in the bar area where we enjoy the stinch of your establishment. When owners hire mangers who can't make customer service issues right. You will suffer customer loses. Over $35.00 for bad...
