A must see in the city of Montgomery, Alabama. We were eagerly greated by one of the museum's guides. She(Trina Binkley) gave a heartfelt welcome and generously began telling us about the historical structure of the building(putting us in the moment of the historic greyhound bus station). She delivered a smooth flow of information from one exhibit to the next. This clearly made us feel well informed by her. The exhibits were amazing!! A bonus was her great interpersonal skills...simply delightful in conversation. Read moreThis is a real cool museum and historical landmark. I visited early morning, so unfortunately they were not open, but regardless there is so much to see from the outside. The plaques were very informative and told the story of the Freedom Riders and their stop at the Montgomery Greyhound station (where the museum stands). I found it real cool that the museum provides this information before you even step inside. That tells me they care about the message of equality. It’s not just about the money.

Okay, so my mother is a Freedom Rider and if you're a museum and are going to say nice things about her then you're going to get a good review (plus they had us come and speak).
The museum is small but so was the bus station it is situated in. The staff knows their stuff and the museum itself is packed full of content.
