CAUTION!!! We lost about $50 due to their cheating business behavior.
We ordered 4 items and paid by credit card. After pay and get the receipt, we found the prices in receipt for three items were different from them in their menu of website. For example, they charged me $13.99 for Lamb Gyro with Hummus and Feta which should be $8.99. The explanation from manager was that Hummus and Feta inside Lamb Gyro which cost $8.99 and Hummus and Feta outside Gyro as a side with extra cost. Not matter menu or cashier have not told us “Hummus and Feta” price with inside or outside of Lamb Gyro were different. For clearly, we showed their online menu and pointed out what we exactly ordered.
Firstly, I was told there was no such item “Lamb Gryo $6.99”, that is just for ad, not real.
Secondly, I was told that I couldn’t get the refund for the extra money I already paid. Their credit card machine had no refund function, then I said “you can give me cash instead”, but they still refused.
We have not taken anything from them since the merchandise were not what we ordered as the whole package. From the manager obvious cheating behavior above, we have reason to be doubt the food quality. We need avoid to be hospitalized or die due to foodborne diseases since there are roughly 128,000 hospitalized, and 3,000 die from foodborne diseases every year in our country”. Unreliable management in restaurant increased the huge risk of foodborne diseases.
Our family was not the only one victim for losing money by their cheating if you read other “one star review”. The review related to food quality such as “bloody cheeseburger or hard cheesecake and red velvet cake” or “looked like it was cook two days ago burger” or “stale chicken, clearly frozen long time” also make me sure even I lost $50, it is also much better than our family members may lost health and life.
Update for the response
The truth was that we talked this different issue immediately after we ordered, paid and got the receipt. By the way, customer has right to write the review to tell the truth. The bad comments to your business were not only from me if you...
Read moreI decided to try this place over the upscale restaurant because I like to dine with local restaurants like this. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. It was about 5 PM and the place was empty which should’ve been the first sign, but it gets worse. The lousy customer service and Employee taking orders did not engage me the customer coming in the door and was rude. He seemed to be too occupied on his cell phone. I decided to try the Philly cheesesteak and placed an order. I waited over about 15 minutes. I got my order and was very hungry from traveling on business most of the day, however when I unwrapped my sandwich it literally had just a few pieces of meat with cheese. I asked the employee this is a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and is supposed to have peppers and onions. The employee then tells me after I first asked what all came on the sandwich before I place my order, and told me that they were out of peppers and onions. It was absurd. He never told me that when I asked him to begin with before placing an order. I decided to ea cheesesteak sandwich and is supposed to have peppers and onions. I would have paid for a beverage then I asked for a cup of water because a beverage did not come with the overpriced meal. The guy literally took a Styrofoam cup and walked to the back and I heard him turn on a faucet which sounded like he literally filled the cup up with kitchen sink water and return to me dripping wet with no eyes lid or anything. I did not even touch it. This was a horrible experience. The worst is I came to this place because it looks like they had decent reviews, but I learned from prime experience that this is just an awful hole in...
Read moreThe food was out of this world. If you ever liked hummus, or ever thought you might want to try hummus, and you try the hummus from here you're going to be ruined. It is absolutely the best I've ever had. can't put my finger on it. More Savory? Less lemony? Whatever it is it's wonderful.
And for the first time, ever, I tried babaganouch. I've heard of it before, and figured it was essentially hummus made with eggplant. After tasting it I think that's basically what it is. You are either going to like it or you're not going to like it. If you don't like eggplant you're probably not going to like babaganouch.
We tried the chicken gyro and the lamb gyro as well as falafe to go with the hummus and babaganouch. (It was out only dinner of the day!). The gyros were great. I'm not sure how they prepare than meat. I'm guessing maybe it's on rotisserie in the back. But I'm not sure. It did have that crispy Char on the outside that implies it would be on a spit type thing. All I can tell you this fabulous served as typical gyros are- lettuce, and onion, and a sour cream cucumber sauce.
The seating is sparse to say the least. I included a picture of what it looks like as you come in the front door and there's just three booths inside the restaurant. There are two tables and chairs out near the street in front of the restaurant. And in the restaurants defense the otherwise less-than-perfect afterthought of table and chairs by the street are made more pleasant by the shade cast by the building that time of the day. We got the food to go as that's what we originally planned. But I can't imagine going here during lunch time there's not even a nearby park to go sit at that I could see.
But the food will probably keep me coming back it was...
