Let me lead up to the reason I am giving 5 stars. I was looking for an upgrade to a factory radio. I had tried Best Buy in several different cites, and with each failed attempt, my temper rose higher and higher, to the point I said, I'll do without a radio before I give my money to them. Fast forward one week, I am heading to Montgomery on a Saturday, I call Jimmy and ask if they can install a radio - I recieved the first answer, an immediate, pretry sure we can get you hooked up today. I said I'm on my way! Walked in and was greeted by the friendly staff, welcoming me and asking how they could help. They showed me a few models, we discusses options, and decided on a single din cd. Now, All of this was 5 stars, so far above Best Buy that I hate to even mention their name. Jimmy's is all you need to know if you are shopping in the car audio department. Now, while I waited, they recommended a nearby Thai lunch, it was delicious, came back after lunch and there is my vehicle, ready! They asked me how I enjoyed lunch, checked me out "saving me money from what Best Buy was going to charge btw" and gave me a tutorial showing me and even connecting for me the first time, my Bluetooth to my phone. Read moreI was a repeat customer. My experience today, was horrible as walk in service after I had called on Feb. 16, 2024, Friday to see if they were open on Febr. 19, 2024, Monday. I WAS told to just come in Monday, and they would take care of me. I come in at about 10:30 on Monday, and they gave me an ugly attitude from the start because they didn't even know if they had the speakers I needed. That could have been discussed when I called on Friday. They said they had the speakers, and then said it might be about 2 hrs before they could get to me. As a walk in, I said that fine I will wait. They said no you can't wait, but you can leave your car. I said I have no one to pick me up. I am okay with waiting. They said you're not waiting here, you can leave and call back at noon, and gave me their card. I called back at noon, and they are servicing other people who came in. They didn't elaborate if they were appointments or walkins like myself. If they were appointments, it wasn't told to me by them. Read moreThe 2 guys in the office are nice UNTIL you start having problems with their work. I paid over $1k to have a radio, tailgate handle with back up camera, and keyless entry with an alarm installed. Everything lasted just long enough for me to get 2 states away before it all stopped working. I'm now in the western part of the country with nothing that I paid for working, including not being able to open the tailgate with the handle they installed. I should have known I would have issues. The tailgate wouldnt open once before I left AL. I had to take it back and they were able to get it to work but treated me like I was an idiot for not being able to do it myself. Lastly, I was supposed to have the light on a camper shell hooked up with wiring that was already installed there. Never told me they didnt do it until I had already paid and was leaving. I asked the installer if he did it and he said "no, they were supposed to tell you that". The price I was charged was exactly what I was quoted, which was supposed to be for everything we discussed.
