If I could give them negative stars I would and believe I will write bad reviews wherever I am able to including the BBB. I will make sure my family members do the same. I put my deposit for this venue over a year ago. Everything for my weddin is paid for except the majority of my caterer. I called them because I faced severe medical issues to which have been out of work for quite a bit of time. I tried to get them to work with me and still pay them the rest of the venue fee but be able to use a cheaper caterer or bring my own food for my wedding day. They not only denied me any type of consideration with that but also will not refund any of my deposit. As a venue that was burnt to the ground and I’m sure messed up a lot of events they were rude and no help to me. Not only am I still dealing with severe medical issues but I have to lose out on my wedding and money from them as well. It’s a shame but they are nothing more than money hungry, rude, unsympathetic people. I tried to offer every option I could think of to work with them but they are heartless. I wouldn’t want my wedding at such a horrible place now that I know how...
Read moreThe Moorestown Community House is a gorgeous venue with lots of charm. The huge bridal suite and groom's suite are fantastic spaces for getting ready, and the best part is you get the entire building to yourselves starting at 9am, so you can spend the entire day getting ready there and truly enjoying the space. The only complaint I have is the temperature in the building. I understand it's a much older building so the systems may not be up to par. Our wedding was in the middle of August so it was already a hot day, and we had a little under 140 guests. But it was very toasty during the ceremony in the library and cocktail hour. We asked the staff to lower the AC multiple times, but no matter how much we lowered the temp, it was still very warm inside the building. Especially when wearing formalwear. Eventually, our caterer took control of the thermostat and knocked it down to the 50's , which seemed to work by the time we got into the reception. Overall, a great experience and we're very happy with our choice to host our wedding at the...
Read moreMy husband and I got married at the Community House on 02/28/20, right before everything got shut down! We were so fortunate to be able to have our wedding and even more grateful to have it at the Community House. From the minute I saw the Community House I was in love. I walked into the library and knew that was where we were going to get married. I literally started crying. Joan was so accommodating in every regard while planning our wedding and was great about recommending vendors since we were from out of town. Everything about our day at the Community House was perfect. From getting ready together in the beautiful bridal suite, to pictures all over the historic grounds, an amazing ceremony in the library, and an amazing party with cafe lights in the ballroom-- I could not have pictured a more perfect day! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful romantic place to get married and to be able to make your experience...
