2/18/2024: Today we had a big group of 15 people gathering here to celebrate Lunar New Year of the Dragon at the hibachi section. It was really fun to watch the chef cooking on the table in front of us. When there were 2 groups of birthday parties, we even sang Happy Birthday with them! 😂 Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! We will come back for more gatherings! 12/12/2023: Today a group of us came specially for the our favorite Lunch Bento Special. Most of us ordered Teriyaki salmon, which came out very well cooked and delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. The dressing for the salad was very appetizing, CA rolls and shrimp shumai were all as good as always. Update 09/07/2021: Tonight my family came for a hibachi dinner. The cooking style was quite entertaining. Meat, seafood, vegetables, rice and Lo Mien came out just right and delicious! If you haven’t tried hibachi, come to Akira to find out. You and your kids will all enjoy it as we and other customers with little kids did tonight. You can also check out some of the videos and pictures I took in the restaurant. 06/08/2021: After volunteering at high school, I stopped by here to order some Japanese-style lunch for my daughter. When I stepped into the restaurant, I loved the tranquil atmosphere and settings. There are outdoor seatings on the sidewalk of Main Street. They also serve hibachi at the rear section. Parking is convenient with metered parking on Main Street and free parking at the rear parking lot. Food came out very good. My daughter loved the California Rolls and Nabe Yaki Udon. I enjoyed the rolls and Pepper Tuna as well as the udon. Will bring my family to try the hibachi some time soon.

This is the 1st time my wife and I have diner at Akira II since the COVID pandemic began. Last summer there was only takeout and extremely limited number of sidewalk dinging tables. So it was a great joy to return to our favorite Japanese cuisine restaurant, located in scenic downtown Moorestown, NJ. Well felt safe dining in because the seating was well-spaced. Our food arrived hot, as it should be, and was very delicious. Miso Soup, Salad with Finger Dressing, Rice, and Ginger & Scallion Chicken (myself) and Shrimp (my wife). Plenty of chicken or shrimp on each dish along with a variety of veggies - bell pepper, onion, ginger, asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, and shiitake mushrooms. It was a very colorful as well as delicious. If you like ginger then this is the dish for you. We could also have ordered with tofu or a combination of chicken and shrimp. Surprisingly, we actually had a bit of room left over for desert. My wife had Fried Banana and I chose Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream. Needless to say, we will return again & again and hopefully introduce our friends to this friendly restaurant.

Drove 30 mins from Philadelphia Center City to check out this hibachi spot, and it didn't disappoint! I'm usually not a big hibachi guy, but there are a few places I've enjoyed it, and this place is for sure one of them that I enjoyed. There's a koi pond indoors which doesn't overwhelm the place with the smell of chlorine like some other places might. Restaurant itself is well kept and clean, with clean air to breathe, which is not always the case with these places. The restaurant is also in a cute town, so that adds a touch to the experience. Food itself was great - meats were great flavors, and portions were good. BYOB with no uncorking fee is definitely a positive that makes the experience just a touch more enjoyable. Recommended to give it a try!

A friend and I went here for dinner yesterday and everything started out great. The food was satisfying but when the check came that’s when things took a left turn. Our waitress brought back our cards and the receipt for us to sign, that’s when we noticed our checks was switched but we didn’t make it a big deal and proceeded to leave, when the waitress chased us down asking for the merchant receipt. We explained that we only had the customer receipt and that we had left the merchant receipt on the table. We showed the waitress proof that we only had the customer’s receipt, but the waitress insisted that we waited until she finds the merchant receipt. We waited for the waitress to return, at which time she stated that her coworker had taken...
